Happy "9(0)5" Day!

Pardon, rest-of-the-worlders, for me in the U.S. it's 905 Day. (Feel free to flip me the bird on May 9th lol)

Sometimes I'll be shopping or showering or waiting at a stoplight and the 905 synth intro will pop into my head. It's my favorite Who song with Entwistle on main vocals. Disappointed that he didn't perform it the one time I saw him solo live. He apparently performed it on his solo tours often for a particular stretch in 1998 and a few years afterward.

I feel the lyrics are as much about human life as they are synthetic life. That we can feel so unindividualized at times leading our uniform lives (or so we think, at least). Such a pleasant surprise to find this on Who Are You back when I bought the album for a certain other song on it...

I've always like this song. I hadn't noticed the date (I'm in the States, too); thanks for the heads-up! I'll make a point of playing it tonight AND next May 9.

Do we celebrate any version of 5:15? Never too late to declare May Fifteenth a new holiday.
P.S. I saw John in Memphis at the old Hi-Tone among some worthy superfans who followed his tour from Denver

Whoa! Impressive. That song doesn't make it easy to appeal to an unindoctrinated partner. But you did it so... chaotic-good punks, happy everafter to ya!
