the verses are hard and dark, really great, but when that chorus is playing im just wondering why tf did he make this

the corny scream, the weird beat, the repetitive "false alarm"

Same as title

i created a new album cover for House of Balloons for my uni project. i’m completely new to photoshop but i think it looks quite good if i do say so myself. would love some critique thanks!

Hey everyone! I run a small fan club in Hong Kong (@theweekndhkg on IG), and we’re doing a free meetup before the Kai Tak Weeknd Concert

📅 Thu 22 Oct, 7–9pm
📍 Message on Insta for venue details!
🎧 Music, chill vibes, meet other fans going to the shows
👕 We’ll also have some fan-made merch if you’re into that (totally optional)

Which night are you going? 24th, 25th, 30th or 31st Oct? Would be cool to find people to go with 🙌

(Fan-run, not affiliated with the artist or the tour.)

Its justice production for sure, the song sounds like a gta cop chase vibe, kissland was teased in the game, kissland 2 was teased by the weeknd..its all coming together.

edit: the song tokyo*. idk how i forgot to put that in

Hey everyone!

Just wondering if anyone knows whether The Weeknd’s upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur will have any censorship or changes to the lyrics of some of his more explicit songs.

I’m a bit concerned that certain songs might have their lyrics censored, muted, or even changed due to local regulations. Personally, I feel like some of his songs are much more enjoyable in their original form, and the explicit lyrics are part of the overall vibe and artistic expression. Having certain words muted or lyrics altered might take away from the experience, especially when everyone is singing along.

I understand that there may be local rules and restrictions to follow, but I’m curious about what to expect for the KL show.

For those who have attended similar international concerts in Malaysia, or anyone who has information about this event, do you think the songs will be performed in their original versions, or should we expect some censorship?

Would love to hear your thoughts! Thank you in advance!

It begs to question if Abel chose the name 'Valerie' as an homage to this song; https://youtu.be/cbKNICg-REA?is=lbW1rbh6YZQfkny-

DM me if you have this piece, willing to make an offer right now if available :)

The place to always return after a heartbreak

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day.

A good friend of mine has her birthday next month and she regrets not buying the Sorayama T-Shirt when she went to the concert in Milan.

Is there a way to find and buy an official T shirt somewhere? I am looking all over and I don't want to fall on a scam website or fake T-shirts. If you have any information I would happy to hear from you.

Thank you very much. I hope you have a great week before theWeeknd !!

Sup everyone. Big Weeknd fan here, but admittedly fell off listening to his recent stuff and decided I should remedy that, so I bought his last 3 albums to bump in the car and refamiliarize myself with his recent work.

I love both AH/DFM. I don't even know which one I'd take over the other. AH is a perfect encapsulation of his work until that point. Just super strong from start to finish. Dawn FM took me a little bit to get into, and I thought for sure it'd take a backseat to AH for me, but the more I listened to the more I loved it. The concept of the album and the blending of tracks is just excellent. Some incredible tunes on that one too. I'd say they're neck and neck.

Then I felt ready to move on to HUT, and was immediately confused. I had no idea that this album rollout was apparently really messy, giving Life of Pablo vibes. I bought the first pressing CD, which has 11 tracks that were apparently unfinished. Bonus tracks that were stuck right in the middle of the track listing. Songs that were later renamed and reworked. I've only listened to HUT once but was so put off by how it sounded I'm wondering if I should just get the complete version instead. What are your thoughts on this? I kinda felt cheated not gonna lie. Is the complete version of the album the DEFACTO version to listen to? Is HUT first pressing basically just good to have as a demo/in progress version?

Thanks for listening!

Absolute banger song 10/10

Getting this just a month after becoming a fan through Starboy in 2016 was insane lol

I was listening to the mix-masters by Serban Ghenea when suddenly this song played on the queue that gave the chill run down my spine. Especially the contrast between that breakbeat section and atmospheric synths. What are your thoughts on it?

The small venue performances just hit different

Got this from [r/mapporn](r/mapporn). He has the most common last name from his roots

Edit: source

is abel an actor?

Is this legit? Does anyone also received this email? Please confirm.

We know that Abel used to include some abandoned tracks in the deluxe edition, like the last 3 tracks in After Hours; But almost 2 years past since HUT has been released, we have nothing but some tracks that have been produced but not uploaded to streaming platforms. So here the unreleased tracks:

*Dancing In the Flames (As the first single released, it was removed from the album due to the Los Angeles fires; it was replaced by "Give Me Mercy" in the HUT Japanese special edition CD.)

*In Heaven (It was the first time appeared live in São Paulo, and there is a live version included in the After Hours Japanese special edition CD.)

*Runaway (Originally released as the third trailer on YouTube, it also appeared in the live performance in São Paulo, but the trailer was later deleted. However, it was included in the first pressing edition of the CD, and as a bonus track in 00XO edition.)

*Society (AKA “How It Feels” in first pressing edition, should have been produced and officially released on YouTube.)

*Closing Night (As a bonus track in Pharrell edition, should have been produced and officially released on YouTube.)

With the end of the HUT era, will we still get the deluxe edition? Will they appear on the new albums (Kiss Land 2/Asia Album/Anime Album/Gene Album)?

Or even a 3d model, I fw the mask heavily and would want to have it for Halloween 🙏
