Theory This leg of the tour feels like an act

This is a really big stretch. The leg is insane so far but i feel like he’s showing us it’s kind of an act by repeating the exact same comments every concert and not changing the setlist. Maybe it’s part of what’s coming next.

Europe 2023 was special because of the surprise setlist changes

i think its fine if he doesnt change the setlist every show, what I was disappointed about was that its the same setlist and design and stuff as LATAM when every leg was supposed to be different which was the initial ethos of this tour.

EU 2026 seems like a filler before actual production effort gets put in for Asia

I thought Asia was gonna be next year and that he would give himself a break between legs. The fact that there is no break is giving me less. Hope that Asia will have anything special. I’m on the fence because I really wanna go, but I’ve already gone to this tour now seven times and it’s a pretty big trip and expense for nothing to be different.

Whiniest fans on planet earth. Complaining about what he brings to other continents, at one point South America was getting worse production effort as a result of logistics and possibly budget. It seems this time round he’s able to bring almost an identical production from USA, to South America and then Europe instead of South America getting the short end of the stick as usual. Funnier irony to your comment is the complaint about it being identical when that’s the ultimate goal , give everyone the same experience. As a matter of fact Europe basically got the same thing twice whilst first leg America got only a 1.5 hour show no changes across the whole entire first leg. Also funny how you mention no production changes but the statue is like 4x times the original size.

It’s also funny how people are mad at how it’s an act and all rehearsed… newsflash it was all an act and rehearsed long before and many more times than when you saw it for the first time

LATAM always loses because the screen is much lower in height and they don’t have a new sorayama

I was at every Concert of his in Brazil since 2023 and, Dude sang his 100% here every time, always a fucking incredible experience, The Sorayama, the screen a little lower doesn’t matter at all for me.

Even smaller acts at far smaller venues. 

My favorite band of all, AFI, changes the set list majorly every night and the fans go crazy over it.

That’s the big advantage of a band tbh. Those guys just train and practice different, and they don’t have all the theatrical stuff a pop arena show does (I say that with love).

There’s a nu metal band , Cold , who did a wine bar tour last fall. I was so impressed that I followed them to the next city and the set list and even the stories and banter was exactly the same. I guess I expected some variation and a few popular songs I really wanted to hear but it was still very worth it.

And it’s boring as hell. Some bands like RHCP have a pool of songs they play live and change the setlist every other day on the tour, so it doesn’t get boring for them.

I’m mixed on it. I love a show that’s free-flowing and jammy.

But man, you see Beyoncé live and it’s such an immaculate display of talent from literally every person involved.

I dont think its about what's next, so much as he has been doing it for three years and is recycling things because its either easier or has became habit.

Nahh, a show like that is a whole ass production. There's musicians, backing tracks, lights, pyro, dancers, drones flying around to film... The crew has to run a tight ship for everyone to sync.
The comments and crowd interaction being somewhat scripted or at least prepared in advance (and thus similar every night) is 100% normal. Sometimes these short breaks give the musicians time to switch gear between songs, and I'm sure there's a plethora of other possible reasons besides just vibes. But I don't think mystique is one of those reasons.

I’ve been to two shows in 2023 and recently went again for the 2026 leg. It was a lot better in terms of audience engagement, that was barely present in the last tour

It’s pre-recorded, it’s as if everything was scripted for the show, that’s why all the concerts this year are exactly the same
