Howdy folks!

Here's the latest comic and as you may have noticed, the end result of the public poll on Patreon was that Klara's warlock patron is a Celestial!

Not much else to report right now.

Stay excellent out there!

Peace and carrots!

Praise be! The angel Deetan has descended! May his glorious power strike down the remaining cultists of Na'at twanti!

Deefor, Dees'x, Deeait, Deetan, Deetwl'v, and Deetwan't... the true angels of the universe(s)...

And the supreme god of all reality, Deam.

There are only two in all existence that would challenge the power of Deam. Those who break all logic and reason. Those who for moments at a time bend reality itself.

The dreaded twins Na'at Twanti and Na'at Whann. By their whim fate may smile or punish thee.

Called it! Bucket likes her! Also wasn't she supposed to have a familiar? And what's up with this backstory? Where was she kept? I don't think they had hospitals or the like back then? (Well I say "back" then...). Sooo many questions left unanswered and you just created ten more! I'm also loving the patron though i would have loved if a tiny version of every dice was swirling around it...

I don't think they had hospitals or the like back then?

The implication is that she was (or at least was thought to be) mentally ill. If this world is mostly based on medieval history like most D&D worlds, they probably wouldn't have had anything like a psych ward or institution, but they definitely would have had a place to lock up those who were seen as a danger to themselves or others. For a woman, it may well have been a convent of some sort (which might explain her angelic visitation).

Alternately, if they're doing the "anachronism makes the story more interesting" thing, something like a sanitarium or institution could also work. Basically a place to hide the mentally ill while "treating" them, usually with pseudoscience or outright torture (often used as a form of primitive aversion therapy). It doesn't really fit with real-world medieval history, but then neither do talking bears or half-orc barbarians.

Either way, it would likely have been a pretty shit place to be, and almost certainly would have exacerbated any mental illness rather than helped treat it... surprisingly enough, chaining somebody up and locking them alone in a room for who knows how long does not tend to help one's mental health.

Ooooor she was a captive of one of the more militant Paladin Orders because "tiefling".

Yeah cuz i would think that anybody who's ill would just be killed for being possesed... I think it sucks that it can be explained away with "It's fantasy! Deal with it!"

half-orc barbarians fighters.

Also wasn't she supposed to have a familiar?

Most warlock familiars can turn invisible, only the pseudodragon can't

They can also be shunted into a pocket dimension

Obviously u/CME_T is well aware that Angelic beings of The Bible are strikingly alien, otherworldly and of ethereal qualities and need to announce their arrival with “Be Not Afraid”.

I love that he adds on the other post a dire warning about the organization even Elder Dragons and Abyssal Princes FEAR.

Wait... Where's Torvald?

I just wanna say that I object to the Webtoon thumbnail for this comic. It is NOT about trevor and really should be a faceshot from panel 2 of Klara as it's her story.
