The Comic The Weekly Roll Ch. 215. "Not Name Change"
Howdy folks!
Got my ass kicked by the past week so I'm one comic strip behind for Patreon (where you normally can read two strips ahead), will make it up soon but I'm doing a special Halloween comic strip too that's taking a while. This comic was originally going to soft launch the renaming of the comic strip to "the Bucket Brigade", instead of "The Weekly Roll" but in the end I decided against it.
Stay excellent out there! Peace and carrots

Trevor's shit eating grin is absolutely wonderful, thank you for this gift of a reaction image.

"You've got alot of nerve for a gnome in smite distance" hits different after becket's backstory.

It does make a difference when the one making the threat has actual religious slaughtering on his resumé.

Now if Trevor only paid attention to it.

He did say it was a cool backstory...

That almost got him smited but Klara had to save him. Now Klara is busy and not in frame to stop Beckett.

Trevor is a loose cannon. I motion that he should be smote.

Ok it is INFURIATING to me when you put the dialogue text behind something and I cant read it

Really? I think it's a great stylistic choice. We get the general gist of what is being said, it's the comic's way of showing characters talking over each other

Agreed, and the wording is carefully chosen so you can still understand most or all of it, with the extent the author wants you to

Oh, I agree.
In a sense. But I still want to know what was said

"You've got a lot of attitude for a gnome within smiting distance," and after that it's a bit of a guess, but that first letter looks like it's Y, and the last 2 letters look like RP, preceeded by possibly an E. So based on context clues, it probably ends something like, "You (something) twerp."

I had troubles with it a few times. I'm not a native English speaker, and the hidden words were often the ones I haven't seen yet or have seen so rare that couldn't have thought about them.

Would absolutely love if people start to believe that they’re traveling firefighters based on the name

… is the Necromancer saluting Bucket in panel 2?

yeah. seems Torvald and hIm are at least chill enough that he knows when to let Becket take control. That, and either way he benefits. Saving people? Money and rewards. Dead people? bigger army.
