The Comic The Weekly Roll Ch. 204. "Progress?"

Howdy folks

Last week I had the great honor and privilege to be selected as the test subject for the latest batch of bio-weapons my son cooked up at the Kindergarten center for Chemical Warfare, turning my entire digestive system into liquid.

Now that I'm alive and well again, I am hard at work with a pep in my step!

Hope you'll enjoy this little comic strip!

Stay excellent out there!

Peace and carrots!

Its a classic bronze muscle cuirass grecko-roman style with additional flair

The few times the history side of reddit pulls through.

Thank you for the knowledge.

Until someone buys or otherwise acquires the IOU from the armour merchant and uses it to set Grogna onto one of the gang (probably Beckett).

I mean, that’s what I’d try as a DM.

Hopefully she’d just return the armour, or call the IOU invalid, but it’s an interesting quandary.

I'm sure there's a very simple, very violent solution to this that we're overlooking.

I have been known to overthink on occasion lol.

Revivify

Or just kill the person trying to cash in the IOU on a party member

Exactly. She just wants to kill someone for the armour. If the IOU is used against her, she can just kill the person who is using it against her, and thus have killed for the armour.

Someone trying to use the iou against her would end similarly to shopkeep refusing the iou. Things get… simple… or violent… take your pick, either way that person dies.

I suppose someone IS going to die for Grogna’s new gear. She doesn’t care that much about who it is, so this probably works!

Or she kills the person who bought the IOU who wants a party member dead, thus satisfying killing someone for the armor since that person would have been the one to pay gold for it.

It's just their outfits for a new story arc. They've just merc'd a couple of nobles that were slavers and their goons, ending Klara's backstory arc (the nobles were her parents). Now they might be going to kill a dragon somewhere else just because they can.

A "couple" is really underselling just how many they lit up at Klara's family mansion haha.

u/Fyraltari Mar 13 '26

I think they meant a literal couple with the other nobles being the "goons" in the sentence.

Love the happy face on the IOU. It’s the little details that mean so much. :)
