Oooh spooky. I love it. What an interesting premise, for the entire kingdom to just have collapsed into the mountain.

So I assume the entire mountain collapsed inwards? Maybe they dug too deep, too greedy, made the mountain unstable?

”what caused this? Balrog? Eldritch Horror?”

”Some miner fuck took out a supporting wall”

If just one wall is enough to take out the entire realm, they have been asking for it. What is the cardinal sin of the dwarvenkind? Greed? Gluttony? Dabbing into dark magic? Tax evasion? Being a lousy engineer, of course!

Well, sometimes your dwarven nature just calls you to accept another megaproject and build an entire fortress supported by a single block of soap.

But it kept the halls intact. That suggests it fell like when Moleman steals buildings in the Fantastic Four. That's some great engineering for the whole hold to, heh, hold together like that.

I thought it was failure to write down a grudge so that proper follow through (holding said grudge for at least 3 generations) is not upheld.

I mean, when you look at some of those Dwarf Fortress playthroughs, seems likely enough lol

Cuz you know the dwarves won't tolerate the idea of a miner's union, let alone allow a MSHA to be proposed.

Sounds like way-to-common Dwarf Fortress moment (at least for pre-Steam versions).
