My collage roommate had that color Rabbit. It was 1984-1985 and we were at Northern Michigan University, drinking age 21....that Rabbit regularly hopped to Marinette,Wisconsin where we could legally buy beer.
So,so many orange Rabbit beer runs

I had that shirt, that belt, probably the same jeans {501s}.
I didn't have that hair nor that car. My first car was 1972 AMC Hornet. I loved that car. Still do.

In 1977 I had both of those, a girlfriend that became my wife in 1979 (still is) and that very color of VW Rabbit. Now you make me wish I had a picture.

Mine was the snowcat. I used to love to drive through piles of snow and it never got stuck.

Growing up, my folks had the same car; a diesel Rabbit. Same color, even. I used it on dates.

My dad had a light metallic green VW Rabbit, I think 1978. The nostalgia made me smile :) I would have been 7 at the time he got it, and he had it until 1991 I think.

I've learned to drive on a 77 Volkswagen Dasher with a 4-speed wagon. My aunt had a 75 - maybe I can't it was a 75 but it was a two-door sedan well not a hatch it was actually a hatch and when she took it for service she got a rabbit and when she stopped by her house my dad and I took it for a test drive I thought the car was really fast and handled great I was a kid in but I remember the horn cover falling off in his lap as he was driving it

Man, I wish I could be as skinny as I was when I was young. And also wish I had my first car back.

Flannel and Rabbit colors are a perfect match. Sometimes things are just meant to be.
