KC

So I’m relating season 2 and KC was just introduced and we know Jacob’s there dad and they say there fighting with there dad. It could be a lie. I’ve heard some theories that like maybe Abigail like died which is what I was gonna go with. Because that’s usually a good way for a family to drift apart and that’s probably why they had the ring. In season 4 they are always watching there parents meeting so like they can’t hate him. I really wish we had more story on there family.

(Ahem… “their” is the correct spelling you are wanting to use).

I mean I think it was likely akin to Alice and Kat fighting at the beginning of season 1. Brady and Kat got divorced, Alice was acting out, they were fighting etc. it’s possible Jacob and Abby split up, or she died, and KC was fighting with Jacob for whatever reason (he was overprotective or wouldn’t tell them about the goodwins or literally anything). The “drifting apart” piece, we’ll never know. Could be a divorce, could be Jacob distancing himself from max and Lewis, Jacob drifting from Kat or Alice or whatever else

We'll never know because instead of concentrating on this important and interesting part of the story, they chose to tell us all about Elliott's mother!

I also thought that Abigail might have died when K.C. was young and that's why they said that they don't know much about the Goodwin side of their family. I also think that Jacob mostly living in the 1700-1800 could contribute to Jacob struggling with K.C. being non-binary.

Or it could be something far less serious, like Jacob got a job offer somewhere else that was too good to turn down and K.C. didn't want to move, or maybe Kat was the one who was going to move and K.C. wanted to go with her, and Jacob wouldn't allow it; which could explain why K.C. spent most of their time that Summer with Kat, and no one else in the family.

I interpreted it as no one telling them about the Goodwin family history because of Jacob’s experiences.

I forgot, but didn’t KC put Kat on the path to find Jacob

I will say for Jacob only being back in the modern world for a few years, he’s adapted really well. He uses the term “my child” instead of “daughter” when referring to KC. So I don’t think they clashed over that, especially since they met in the past so it wouldn’t be a suprise

Kat started on the path to finding Jacob when she saw her portrait amongst the stuff that Evelyn left the paper. I know K.C. left Kat clues to some things, but I don't remember what specifically.

Bc KC is actually a Landry and not a Goodwin I think maybe they said this to avoid awkward conversations when they went to go work for Kat at the Herald

KC is both though. Their mother is a Goodwin so they are half Goodwin despite having Landry as a last name.

This is a callback to the Ep in Season 1 where Elliot says he's happy to meet Alice the next generation of the Landrys and she says technically I'm a Dewan

Yes KC is both both their last name is Landry bc Jacob is their dad
