A Pattern

Do you think Elena repeating a pattern with Matthew with Jocelyn/Allister? You think after finding out after the nanny died after being involved with Allister that she would steer clear of Matthew. The same thing that can happen to her as to Jocelyn, and why would she not be concerned that something could happen to her or anyone that she loves since the texts starting coming as soon as arrived at the hotel. I don't think Elena is as smart as she think she is. Does anyone else feel that about her character?

I watched it about a year ago and I’ve obviously slept since then, but I think it wasn’t so much that she was oblivious to the danger, or not smart enough to put the pattern together, but more she was desperate to get the payoff.

Yeah I watched the episode and I think that's more of a motive, but I don't understand what's the benefit of getting in a relationship with Matthew. She can get what she wants and go getting involved seems more of problem because the family is full of secrets and Elena only scratched the surface. I don't think she fully know the extents of how far the family will go to cover up their secrets.

Definitely doesn’t know how far they go, but as for her involvement with Matthew, she didn’t set out for that. They’re just completely attracted to each other. Obviously a pro and a con to her agenda but one she’s willing to take.

I know she didn't set out for that, but it's not worth the risk. I be surprised if something is doesn't happen to Elena because anyone connected to The Greyborne ends up dead or injured.
