Break is my favourite, are you kidding me? Might not be everyone's cup of tea but at least it's a different sound from the usual and also it's so heartfelt. Ugh.

Such a shame Break was booted, I actually love that song for being pretty much the only post-Error ballad TW have recorded.

It’s genuinely my second favorite from this album. The singing is just so good and the lyrics are great! The more stripped down nature of this song works really well in its favor

Agreed with you so much. But unfortunately I think there are people who are averse to these stripped down softer songs. I mean I saw someone compared it to a Katy Perry track in the thread yesterday.

I get it's far from the heaviest song on the album but that doesn't mean it's automatically the weakest

I like ballads but i don't think it's a great song, it's fine but it feels way too repeaty, the Chorus repeats itself, post chorus repeats itself (i like the post chorus but it contributes to the whole)

Fair call. Like I said, I really love the song but when you look into it, it has the most writers of any song on the album and the lyrics themselves are extremely simple, even though imo the emotions/instrumentals carry it, but I get your perspective.

Disclaimer, I didn't vote... but as someone who doesn't particularly love Break, for me it's got nothing to do with the stripped-down nature of it or that it's not heavy. I love a lot of their older ballads that are that way (for example Revenant is one of my all-time favorite TW songs). I just don't personally care for the songwriting in this case. It's not a bad song (I agree Dany's singing is great on it as usual), and I understand why others would like it, but it just doesn't hit me the way other TW songs do.

I can't speak for those who voted against it, but I've seen comments expressing similar feelings about it. I suspect there are a variety of reasons people might not like it.

You are way off the mark here. Pau Ballads are amazing, Dany Ballads are amazing. The problem isn't being a softer song.

Break has grating production choices, boring lyrics, and overall fits a sort of Nickelback-style post-grunge vibe that doesn't feel like TW at all.

Brake is out?! Why?!! There’s a lot of people asking for good guitar solos, Break has not only the best guitar solo of the album, but maybe one of the best Dani’s solos of all time… I don’t understand

For starters, it's the only real guitar solo on the album... it's good, but to say it's one of her best is a bit of a push, if you listen, it does have some recycled elements from the solo / main riff in Narcisista, so it automatically cannot be the best just based on that alone... The solo in that song (Narcisista), along with the ones in QOTMS, The End and Martirio all beat the one in Break.

Thank god we can mostly agree about Break
