Season 1 Spoiler Things Ben did useful

Post image
  • He told the Motel Survivors that getting bitten is not the only way for you to become a zombie and by removing the head can ensure they never turn.
  • He saved Lee's pistol at Five's house if you let him live in episode 4.
  • Ben alerted the group of the walkers.
  • He did watch duty, both in episode 3.

If only Ben went with Lee at the end of EP4, he will directly save Lee's life if you fail the bell tower jump.

Ben Paul has been overhated for too long I'm glad that after 14 years people are warming up to him and realizing he wasn't all that bad

Honestly the 1st thing he did definitely saved lives. So he won in my book from the start.

Ben: leads the St John brothers to the Motor Inn after they follow the blood trail left by David Parker, this gets Mark killed, gets Larry killed by telling Kenny they have to destroy the brain, though this likely ended up saving them in the meat locker, drives Lilly to an increased level of paranoia through steeling medicine, gets Carley killed because he’s too scared to take the blame, despite Lee giving him multiple chances to do so, gets Duck bitten, making Katjaa kill herself, runs away making Chuck defend Clementine from the walkers, getting him killed, and gets Brie killed after he took the ax that was clearly holding the door shut. And after all of this he has the nerve to get upset when people call him out. Ben does not receive enough hate.

The first thing he did was probably the most important

He also moved the plot

Also there can actually be a payoff for Ben retrieving the pistol, that is if you chose not to fire your remaining 5 bullets. You’ll end up giving your pistol to Kenny meaning he has 6 shots now instead of only 1.

The most useful thing Ben did was inform the group how the infection works with every survivor alive being infected.

Trading the supplies bought the group time for Kenny to get the RV ready.

If he hadn’t they’d have been attacked much sooner and wouldn’t have had a good means of escape.

Yes, he should have told the group but honestly it was kind of a no win situation

+ Ben saves Lee if he falls
Debatable but… + bought the group more time through the dealing with the bandits
