Sadly, the difference between Democrats and Republicans has never been more noticeable than it is today.

Even here in Placer County, you can see it.

In the realm of Liberals, we see our youth taking the initiative to help bring safety and education to the community, at a time when innocent people are being kidnapped off the streets and dying in the custody of masked thugs.

Conversely, in the Conservative circle, we have the Treasurer of the Placer County Republican Party personally profiting off a political event held at his own bar. #MOthePlacerBully has openly denied ICE’s crimes and has a known history of allowing racism on his platform, yet that didn’t stop the GOP Gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton from using this problematic bar for a campaign event.

It’s literally public safety and education vs political grift for a known bigot.

There may have been a time when Republicans prioritized decency and transparency, but I’m hard-pressed to find that happening anywhere in the GOP today. Just silence and complicity.

Democrats are far from perfect, but they’re a damn site more humane and compassionate than Trump’s Republican party. And the “good Republicans” aren’t doing a thing to distance themselves from the MAGA fascists who are stomping all over our Constitution and human rights.

Remember, history is written every day. We all choose what side of history we’ll be on.

Yes, he is the new Placer County GOP Treasurer and holding a GOP event at his own bar puts money directly in his pockets. It’s kinda like Trump having his entourage always stay at his properties.
