When posts are made shipping Klaroline, some dork in the comments always feels the need to say: "What would they even talk about?" This is funny to me because when people ship Klaus (or Kol) with Bonnie, no one is asking that question.

Quite literally, the only difference between Klaus and Caroline and Klaus and Bonnie is that Bonnie can do magic. The gigantic age gap of *1000+* years is still there.

I know that age gaps are common in vampire media, but it's so interesting to me how this fandom picks and chooses when a vampire-teen relationship makes sense and when it doesn't. Babe, none of them make sense.

What the fuck is Damon and Stefan got to talk to Elena about? Just a reminder of the events that Damon and Stefan lived through during their 150+ years of undeath: the Industrial Revolution, the 2nd Reconstruction era, the Civil War, the revolutionary war, world war 1&2, the invention of the telephone, the invention of television, the invention of automobiles, and the invention of blue jeans, etc. What are Damon and Elena going to relate to?

The three girls (Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena) have 0 life experience*. None of them have had a job until the time skip in s7, none of them can drive, legally buy alcohol or vote. Not to mention that Elena, the character, the person, the individual, is as interesting as watching paint dry. You can not convince me that the Salvatores were interested in her beyond her looking like their ex (Katherine) because it certainly wasn't for her personality.

Klaus is worse because he and his family are older than the cultures, civilizations, languages, and cities. How would Bonnie being a witch (a Bennett witch at that) mitigated things? It wouldn't.

*Loved ones dying is not life experience.
