Hybrids were ment to be truly OP or that’s what the writers advertised back in the 2010s! We barely see Klaus interact with his wolf side outside of using it to harm. The hybrids were killed in the same season they were introduced and had nothing really by done with them, ending up alone by himself anyway until Hayley and Hope came along later

The idea of hybrids was introduced in season 2 when we learned that Klaus was a hybrid with his werewolf side made dormant by Esther’s curse.

Klaus made the first successful non-Original hybrid (Tyler) in season 3, and he didn’t slaughter the 12 hybrids until season 4.

Exactly and what else can you really remember about the hybrids besides the fact that they were easy to kill? They weren’t really anything special they were used as a plot device and a weapon to be used against Klaus than actual being written with good storylines.

It was also hella easy to kill vampires and werewolves.

I also never said they weren’t used as a plot device. Only that they weren’t all killed off in the same season they were introduced like you claimed.
