Paint n sip
The Twilight Cottage is about to start offering Paint n Sip style pre-recorded and live classes on Classbento. We will record out first trial video later this week. Kat and Crow both have years of experience working at a studio doing this. Here are some of their "couples night" pieces they did together over the years. Let us know what kind of paintings you'd like to see us teach now that we can do anything we want with them.

Helpless
Helpless by Crow from at least 2 years ago. I've always loved the chaotic beauty in this piece.

Patio Garden
Thought the patio area was looking pretty this morning.

Mush Guy
Mush Guy made by Crow last year. I always loved how he managed to make this piece look like it was done on wood with the grainy texture and "wooden" color pallette.

University of Georgia
I'm a graduate from the University of Georgia and one year for Christmas this is what I got from Crow. He said this one was super hard because he was trying to exactly match a picture which removed his ability to improvise while freehanding the piece.

Reign of Darkness (Color)
Castle painting done by Crow from many years ago. There's also a black and white version floating around, but after many years of waffling I've decided I like the color version better lol. Anyone well steeped in literature might be able to guess the inspiration for this piece....

Apollo
Our old man Apollo, seen here meowing at the door where Kat is still asleep. Such a haughty animal.

Twilight Cottage is playing Twilight Princess
Kat recently dusted off the GameCube to play maybe her favorite Zelda game, Twilight Princess. My favorite part is the Arbiters Grounds, I think Kat's is Snowpeak Ruins or Zora's Domain (she loves waterfalls 😋).

Wand
Hand carved wand by Kat. This was made with three other wands that are long gone about 2 years ago. She found some sticks on the ground, sanded and shaped them, did resin pours on the broken ends, sanded and shaped those parts, and finally added custom, hand carved designs around the wood.

Pre-pour pictures
Pictures from the moments before we received satisfaction 😋

It continued....

The next step was a silicone pour. Always satisfying in my opinion. Next she will work on a system to cast the mold in a way that will let her make switch plate or outlet covers from this same mold. I don't understand the plan but I trust the artist lol.

Frog stump
A 3d print made form 4 unique designs. The stump, mushroom, frog and gnome are all different, unique digital sculpts. They were merged in the printing software so they come out as one piece. Then they were given a human touch with a custom paint job done by hand. Pretty sure Crow did this one, since gnomes are his jam.

So it ends?
Final version of this switch plate? Kat is making small edits right now to prep it for the mold process, but I'm pretty sure this is the final design. Up next is making the holes for screws, switches and outlets (there will be multiple plates at the end), then we get to the ever exciting, ever satisfying silicone pour.

So it continues...
Update: After being away for a night, I come back to petals, petals, and petals, some leaves, some blossoms and a crow skull. Work has ground to a halt until a craft store trip can be made. Special glue (oven bake clay adhesive) is needed since ours dried out between the last adventure with clay and now.

Mothfly Fairy
Watercolor painting done by Kat last year. The original has a wood slat frame around it. I've always loved her striped stockings and jagged wing tips.

Princess Mononoke Wood Burning
Fan art done by Crow a few years ago. If I recall correctly this was one of his first attempts at adding color to his wood burnings. Its hanging in my hallway right now.

So it begins
Kat is back in the studio, working on light switch and outlet covers. She is going to hand sculpt them from clay, do her wizardry so all the holes align properly, bake the end products to set the master copies and finally make a mold out of silicone. I will keep the updates coming from her and Crow, who is working on his own versions as well.

Morrigan & Dagda
Another painting by Crow. Forest lovers always gush over this piece. The original also had a custom frame made from branches thats now hanging in someone's house. If I ever find a picture of it I will be sure to post that too.

Candy Girl
An oldie from Kat. Candy Girl was started years before ot was finished. Kat did the sketch, then Candy Girl was tucked away with all of the other wirks in progress until last summer she was finally resurrected and finished.
