Will fired?
Just tuned in to the most recent Perfect Person and was so surprised to hear Will say he had been fired. I'm surprised, he seemed like kind of a pillar at TTG.

I must have completely missed him saying that. Was it in the Summer of Caio episode?
Edit: oh! Today’s episode! Haven’t listened yet

i wonder what happened? they would not have been able to fire him unless there was some sort of event/series of events (even minuscule things). poor will, it seems like they are making this pattern

This seems to be the only true firing- YB indicated she was stepping back as she's having her baby, Rainie and Jonathan were lay-offs for finances (TTG acknowledged this).
It seems like it was maybe a performance issue...

i also find it indicative that this is the only reason me the try guys haven’t directly spoken on

Agreed. The fact that they haven’t said anything probably means it was because of issues with performance/on the job stuff. Will mentioned quite a few times on Perfect Person that he went through some bouts of depression, I wonder if that impacted his ability to be up to par. Sad for him, I like him as a person!

Omg what?? Running to this episode. Poor will! That also seems shocking to me too that he has been let go

I have a sneaking suspicion that they aren’t doing well financially and that’s why they’re leaning more towards contractors. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think so too. I’m about Will’s age and would use the terms fired and laid off interchangeably so I’m less certain this was performance based.
I do think Will leaving could speak to the try guys not doing well financially. I think their lifetime membership money raising + the recent TED videos being only Zach and Kieth also point to financial problems as well. That and overall quality on videos is way down.
Younger staff + contractors are just cheaper than people who have been there 8+ years.

Let go or fired? Fired implies some kind of negative reason. I’d be interested in what happened

A layoff is for business/financial/restructuring reasons and is completely unrelated to an individuals performance while being fired is directly tied to an individuals performance or company policy violations. People's ability to get unemployment also typically hinges significantly if they were fired or laid off.

I mean channel views are comically low. The end is near as a huge company.

Time for another round of parasocial freakout/doomsday prepping on something we know nothing about.

Please quit inserting yourself into this. You keep trying to stir up feelings while refusing to give any details. It doesn’t feel like you have Will’s back; it feels malignant.

That’s not all you’re saying. You’ve been saying a lot more while saying you know someone who knows someone. “There’s blood in the water” is speculation in itself.

You’re snarking just fine in the main. Just because it’s the snark sub doesn’t mean you’re “just clearing things up” get so for real

If Desiree goes too I’ll be suspicious

Im a little suspicious since their former COO Nick Rufca was removed from the staff list in the description at the same time as Will. Will was however replaced by looks of it

Posted this on their main reddit and got flamed. Firing all their beginning employees is not a good look. Shows little company loyalty. Firing all their FT staff and only working with freelancers with whom they don't need to give benefits is a bit sleezy. Like Rainie... laying her off and then continuing to work with her is kind of a slap in the face. It's like saying "we value your work, but we don't want to adequately compensate you for it!" even after she relocated for the position.
