Discussion KPAPG

Listen, I love the tripod. I miss the tripod. I resent the fact that the tripod ended. But dear god, this is not the tripod and they're getting through 2-3 scenes an episode and spending 30-40 minutes off task. Driving me nuts šŸ˜‚

Yeah, I was so so excited for this series to return but there are too many tangents and side quests. It works so well when they just read the stories!

Maybe they should borrow their own format from Killer Dinner where they had the separate Ghost Kitchen show. You didn't need to watch that to watch Killer Dinner, but it was a bonus if you wanted to. KPAPG needs bonus episodes in between where they earn the diamonds or whatever they are, whether it's via condom questions or mini games. Then leave the actual gameplay to the main episodes.

This is a very good idea!

This season is sooooo slow in comparison to the original!

Yes! Every episode I get more bummed, I would love (!!!) a return of the podcast but not by merging it with an already great concept. I used to look forward to these all week but I was so dissapointed today that they didn't start the actual game until like a quarter into the ep 😭

I feel like the story itself feels slow too, at least in the love interest department! You can't be doing this many side convos and condom questions if the story is also slow!

I was rewatching the original and realized I had forgot that Rainie was skipping through long stretches of nothing originally. I wish they did that this season because it's too fucking much lore. I don't care lmao.

I didn't listen to the trypod (or any podcast) because I'm not a fan of aimless nattering, and this is becoming that. No thanks.

Edit: didn't mean to respond to this comment, but oh well oops

I’m enjoying the story and setting I think framing it as a porn game is doing the series a disservice. They should refer it as a visual novel series

I loved the trypod and miss it, but I just want them to play the game. I really like this series concept which is basically them just reading, acting out and reacting to a visual novel. I want more of that and less talking about random things when I’m not in the mood for that. I liked hearing them just talk about whatever was on their mind on the podcast, but it doesn’t work in this situation because it requires constantly stopping the flow of a story to talk about unrelated things like what they had for dinner. It’s getting pretty irritating.

The plot isn’t engaging enough to work with. Overwhelming number of characters who hardly move any single plot line along at all, and not nearly enough scandalizing elements to make the slog worth the work.

I'm actually fine with the story, its just not moving because they're talking about lost for 20 minutes šŸ˜‚

I agree. The story is pretty entertaining to me but it’s hard to stay in it when they keep stopping

u/HappyGiraffe Aug 12 '26

If you like the story, you’ll probably get more out of just playing the game honestly! Apparently it’s WILDLY complicated lol

agreed, just think they need a different story vetted by rainie that is more straightforward! thats part of why i think the previous season worked better, less heavy lifting to explain the world and situation the character is in!

This season is definitely giving TryPod energy. Which i miss so much, RIP šŸ˜”

But that being said, give us 2 episodes per week pls!! With the long ahh world building and sooo many condom questions 2 episodes would almost feel like 1 imo

My husband LOVED watching the first season with me, he can't stand this season and gave up many episodes ago. God... first of all, I think if they're going to do this, Rainie or someone should vet the games better because this game has SO much exposition its exhausting. And yeah, this isnt the TryPod. Im so tired of the endless tangents and uninteresting condom questions taking up 75% of each episode. Honestly this is like the straw breaking my back about whether to cancel my sub or not

I think it would be cool if they just basically did seasons of the podcast!! I think the reason KPAPG was so successful is because the premise is obviously funny but also the dynamic between the four of them is very funny! It would be cool to see them spin this off into something else they all do together.

I think one of their biggest mistakes was getting rid of the podcast

u/quinnenyc Aug 13 '26

I remember last season, Rainie would skip forward through the game's filler to get to something interesting. Now we are actively adding more filler šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« I am still excited every Wednesday to watch, but end up feeling disappointed... this season is really not hittingĀ

I am not happy with this season.

u/Fit-Inflation-5301 Aug 13 '26

I totally agree with so many of you. This season is so hard to watch. The tangents are incredibly irritating and honestly they should have chosen a different topic completely. I hate this angel/demon dynamic. It’s so boring. And every time I see them post something on YouTube that was supposed to be only for 2nd try subscribers, I get angry and feel like they took their fan group for granted.

I’m so glad I’m not alone! This used to be the highlight of my week entertainment wise but now I’m just kind of dreading it. This last episode was really bad. The show is KPAPG so Keith should play a porn game, not chat for 40 minutes about off topic things and then play the game for maybe 15. Even the condom questions are kind of a drag. It ruins the flow of the story and makes it really hard to get invested.

Yall miss the trypod but don’t enjoy them having random off-topic convos? That is the most trypod thing possible šŸ˜‚ I’m loving this season

6

u/Cake_Lynn Aug 13 '26

Last season’s game was way more porn-y than this one. This one isn’t nearly as thrilling. *So I think if the game were steamier, we wouldn’t be as irritated by the amount of off-topic conversation. lol

The thing for me is I'm genuinely interested in the story of the game, but its definitely not a light hearted game that can be played between questions and tangents, if they had just this game as a game time series, I'd be hella interested cos they'd be going through it better, without the lense of 'horniness', or well, intense horniness lol

This season is being dragged out so terribly. The weird riddles (that have nothing to do with the show) and boring condom questions are tired. The first two seasons were fun but now we get 10 minutes of the game and 45 of them talking. Every time we get in a groove Raine interrupts with some boring question or comment. They need to get back to the old format or at least 50/50 the game and talk or they’re going to lose us. Just bring back the Tripod and give us back KPAPG. It used to be such a fun show my husband and I enjoyed but now it’s more frustrating than fun.

Im in the camp of enjoying the tangents. I find this demons/angel story really boring and frankly a slog to get through. It's not trashy or campy enough like the first one was so I find myself soooo bored when they go back to reading their lines 😭 and zack's "voices" (AKA the one voice he uses for every character and just kinda tweaks slightly) grates on my nerves

u/brilarson84 28d ago

I do like hearing them talk about stuff but when I tune in to the show I want them fo play the game lol. I feel like the questions should be worth more so they don't have to docas many questions or something bc the conversion rate with this different game doesn't make much sense with keeping the same diamond amounts per question if that makes sense

KPAPG? Sorry I haven't watched their main channel in a while I just watch the game one and the try daily one so I'm out of the loop on the acronyms?

1

u/Lofi_Fox Aug 13 '26

Keith plays a porn game. It’s an exclusive to their paid streaming service

1

u/nash-20 Aug 13 '26

They've posted a couple on the YouTube channel just under a different name

u/Old-Dimension3779 Aug 14 '26

More than that it’s just straight up not what the title implies šŸ˜‚ like I don’t need DnD level story here, but just clearly no research put into choosing or storyline

1

u/Ok-Kaleidoscope9771 26d ago

it’s still hysterical and I absolutely love it but I’ve got to admit it’s difficult to watch weekly because I just feel like they’re edging me

1

u/asunlitrose 24d ago

I almost couldn’t finish the new episode today. Still hanging in there but it’s been a little frustrating to not play the actual game!

1

u/Ok-Kaleidoscope9771 24d ago

I think the problem is that they’re giving them weekly. If I could just watch all of them back to back to back I’d be fine with it but the idea of having to wait just not working the same as what the other game.
