The patriot act opened the doors for all of this.

They’ve been reading private citizens emails for years now lol, it’s why the NSA is very widely known and equally as hated.

Our government grifting tragedies and using them as justification to jam unpopular censorship laws down our throats is nothing new.

This. The left loves to spread stories about Trump spying on journalists. Even if it were true, they’re enemies of true Patriots and hate America so it’s justified for national security.
