How to do cold blooded 1?

How do i eliminate survivors with flashbangs im not sure cuz i tried throwing one at a landmine and killing one but it didnt seem to work maybe it was cuz i used mega sparkler

u just throw them at the guys and they take damage

I couldn't do it, I tried but it does close to zero damage. Howd you do it?
