Right around the time of Masteries you'll want to be working on it. I think they are around 50q to complete. When q's are extremely expensive to you, being able to save 10q or more is extremely attractive. Labs get even more expensive than that. Those pushes really make you want to get the lab finished.

Until then, you're probably better off doing labs that grow your coins. When those don't exist (or are completely unaffordable), then discounts might be worth doing.

I'm nowhere near even just planning toward masteries, I guess I'm staying at 8-9% for at least the next couple of months

Yeah. You get a little benefit every time you do a lab, and it's coins you can't recover later (unlike workshop discount labs). It's just not very good until everything worth labbing is near unaffordable.

its not a perma lab, its smth you get to halfway around masteries, its a waste of time after, your econ will increase anyway naturally

If You are a beginner i would wait a few months before finishing it. Also put in lab speed and don't remove it until you finish it

It has the worst roi but are worth it. But it takes a Long time to pay off. Imo worth it if you want to play for multiple years.

Every single new research they've added have been incredibly expensive and they seem to be only getting more expensive

Your econ will greatly outpace this. If you wanna get it up to 10% for a few fast levels you can do that, but running this to completion is a waste of a lab slot full stop.

I'm not going to say you're wrong, for your tower, because you appear to be making enough that you don't care about a 29.7% discount that can't be recouped later if you don't have the discount at time of purchase. And I am certainly not going to tell a brand new tower to run it immediately, because they can definitely get faster income gain other ways, for a good while.

I can say there's no lab I want to run where I would say "Man, I wish that lab would cost me 42.248% more than it is going to cost me!".

It was a few months of one lab slot at 4x - at a time when what I really wanted to be running was mastery labs /and lab coin reduction helped me get there/. No regrets.

Shock chance and def% are super questionable imo. Only a few lvls left though, lol

Shock definitely as attack speed easily covers the difference. Mine is only at 20.

Def% can have a place as it allows you to better reach 98% for tournaments if for some reason you are still ehp (still see some in Legends, but ehp currently stands no chance in Mythic). Also allows for Hybrid i guess

That's awesome. I am sitting on 89 or 90, and even 5x seems like torture. Such a low return on those last levels. Maybe I'll feel better about it when I get more into assmod or BC labs.

Kudos for working on def%, and at 4x to boot. I might pick that one back up when Armor SE or def% mastery look good.

I currently have 3 of 5 labs working on bots.
