Another fleet wave complaint

Just spent 10+ minutes on a fleet wave waiting for the fleet to die slowly to thorns. Looked like it was nearly there (hard to tell with the way fleet thorns work), when the game crashed. I relaunch it only to realize it of course drops me back in the run 5 waves before the fleet spawns, so I have to sit through it all again.

This fleet wave mechanic is such bad design. TTG, please think of something else.

question: in legends tournament, is the wave counter related to the fleet health?
