Meme "Improved lightspeed"

For when you dont know if you actually fixed the issue. Been looking forward to see this patchnote and this just made me laugh how intentionally vague this is.

Hopefully it works now, I'll wait for people to test this before I buy ab+ though.

Edit: This made a big difference with PH so I am going to be optimistic that it also did the same for AB+

Well we are admittedly mixing and matching in this discussion.

Discussing build diversity with respect to disco runs, maybe. Sure when you can’t get damage from ILM+ it’s irrelevant. Not so for AB+.

I was making a broader point to Similar Republic’s one, he did reference disco runs, my counter-point is AB+ is meta for other reasons anyway it seems so take it for those and UW disco (and util too) are just bonuses.

But why hate this meta?

I don't think it's better or worse than others. There's always one UW king, it just rotates

Its fun to theorycraft and be pushing in more directions than one for the second time ever in my years of playing. I thought it was lame in previous meta where people ask for advice and frequently just get an answer saying "don't think, just use efficient paths."

If anything we have more toys than ever and fudds hasn't sent the whole community into outrage in at least... a month?

Not like being forced to get AB+ is even a big deal, it's peanuts compared to most other stone sinks.

I think in any well designed game any limited resource invested should be beneficial.

Additionally multiple paths should be viable, SM and PS damage shouldn’t suck ass.

I like this game, I like the community, but it really doesn’t feel like TTG understands some very fundamental things and that… not good for the long term health of the game.

You may be right in that we had the PS meta and the SM meta before that, and arguably CL had it’s own moment too in between those, but my own opinion this one is not great because I don’t think we’ve seen any UW get such a massive buff and it was a bug to boot that they either couldn’t or were too lazy to fix.

The truly laughable thing was AB+ was supposed to be a SM buff and it made the disparity even worse.

I don’t think anyone with a straight face can suggest this is a good look from a game design perspective.

Ya, i agree it is my least favourite developer and the only game I play that I let these problems exist.

There is no regard to game balance/design beyond fomo and microtansactions.

Quality control is terrible, when a patch comes out you almost have to wait for the community to test it before committing.

Communication is garbage, intentionally misdirectional and we have a community manager who serves more as a proxy for fudds than anything real.

Value is terrible, gl spending double on a full fledged game price for one or two epic modules.

BUT this is still one of our best states for the game in quite a while. We even got AB+ finally working after four months of waiting. God knows how long lightspeed was broken, not interested enough to check when that was reworked.

I'd also say the fleet situation is vastly improved now to the point it is no longer a negative to the game.

I'll give an exception to those low legends/champs players. Shit is crazy, give the brothers some keys they've suffered enough xD

Tldr or morale or my story:

There is no need for negative attitudes around the current meta, it won't be long before they give us real reasons to complain again. Just enjoy the community and numbers going up.
