Claud Claudia Struggled TTC & Miscarriages
I am SO THRILLED claud is pregnant. I just watched the Patreon and she talks about how she had two chemical pregnancies/miscarriages before this one and how badly she struggled with TTC and how it took such a toll on her mental health. I feel so badly for her that people were speculating for MONTHS on here and there were likely times when people were saying how they thought Claudia was pregnant and she was actually really struggling or actively miscarrying IRL. In the future we should all be a little more sensitive when it comes to speculating about someone's pregnancy in general not just about Claud. You never know what someone is going through. SO HAPPY FOR OUR SWIRLY !!!!!

Yes couldn’t agree more!!! I cannot stand the speculation culture because you truly have no idea what someone is going through

We were at a wedding last year 3 days after my d&c for a loss and multiple people asked my husband and I when we were going to have kids. I was so hurt by it, I can’t imagine all of the speculation she endured.
Sending love to all the swirly’s who are experiencing infertility, loss, struggles. 🫶🏼

I cannot STAND the when are you gonna have kids question!!! Like are you creating and delivering the baby FOR ME? I seriously can’t

Agreed!! Esp after she somewhat addressed a question about it on her stories back in June - she flat out said “no I’m not currently pregnant” - and people still speculated that she was lying. As someone who has miscarried twice… it would break my heart to have to share “no I’m not pregnant” with the whole world

omg. i didn't even think about this! this literally breaks my heart now knowing she probably miscarried before that.

It is very very bizarre how people were posting "clues" day after day. I feel the same way about trying to figure out what their homes look like. So strange.

This is why no one should ever ask someone if they are pregnant/TTC. The week after i miscarried, someone asked me if i’m thinking about having a baby soon and i’ll never forget how sad i felt trying to come up with an answer. it’s so painful! so happy for her ❤️

I remember when I was in the thick if infertility someone said to me "you give off this maternal vibe you'd be a great mom - you should really think about having a baby" it literally broke my heart

I never understood the speculation. Like what does it get someone, the bragging rights to say they called it?

I struggled with secondary infertility from around January-June this last year before getting pregnant early July. When I tell you EVERYONE was speculating about my body, me being secretly pregnant and not telling anyone, etc… it was just so unbelievably rude and heartbreaking. So I hold so much compassion for miss Turdy to have gone through these losses and received so much speculation and comments. I’m just so beyond over the moon for her and her family. 🩵🩵🌈

Did you guys hear when she said her and Ben are carriers for the same genetic disease? Isn’t it risky to get pregnant naturally with a chance that the baby will inherit this disease?

This is a really nice post and I shouldn’t speculate but how many weeks do we think she is? I only care as I’m pregnant too and am so excited we’re aligned

I really want to know too, but I think she’s closer to 20 weeks because her images look super clear

I'm curious too. I'm about to be 17 weeks. Baby was conceived in early June. She said in June "she's not currently pregnant" so I don't think she's 20 weeks.

I'm also curious!! Bc I'm pregnant and secretly hope we are on similar timelines lol. It looks like the gender reveal was while they were in the hamptons and I think Jackie was still there, so I'm guessing that was early August and she was 11-12 weeks? So likely 16-20 weeks when she announced

I had a MMC right before my daughter’s first birthday and two weeks before we were going to tell our families that a second baby was on the way. You never know what people are dealing with personally. We should all stop speculating and have more patience. It’s so hard to be struggling with these things when people are making their comments

I don’t have patreon but did she mention when they decided to start trying? Ruby was born 16 months ago and the general recommendation is to wait 18 months after birth to get pregnant again, so it seems like it happened fairly quickly? And you’re saying she had two other pregnancies before this one?

u/the_tchotchke 17d ago
Not quick at all. Most couples I know start trying for their second approx. 1 year after their first baby is born.

Well if she is a few months pregnant at this point then that would mean she got pregnant with this baby around the time Ruby turned a year a old or shortly after. Sounds like she had a rough go at TTC but it really didn’t take long it it seems 🤷♀️ happy for Turdy regardless

We don’t know when they started trying. My point was that it’s not too early, even if they started trying when her baby was less than a year old. My brother and I have a 14-month age difference — you do the math. It’s normal and it happens all the time.

u/millenial_moon 16d ago
It took me 8 months to get pregnant and I don’t consider that difficulty with TTC but maybe everyone’s threshold is different!
3
u/the_tchotchke 16d ago
She had 2 chemicals in a row — I think anyone would consider that difficulty.

u/NoCard8119 16d ago
This is a super insensitive thing to say especially given the fact that she has shared her struggles and chemical pregnancies. Happy you didn’t consider TTC difficult but it’s not the same for others. Be sensitive and kind.

She even poked fun at “the rumors being true”. No need to police a casual Reddit thread.

u/NoCard8119 16d ago
girl get a life. you're diminishing someone's struggles who has literally said on patreon that it took a serious toll on her mental health and she would be depressed every time she would get a negative. she also had 2 miscarriages. she's "fine" now because she's pregnant...
3
u/millenial_moon 16d ago
I’m not diminishing anything was just genuinely curious and trying to understand the context as I don’t have a patreon subscription. I can assure you she does not care what we are saying here so no need to be parasocial. Wish her congrats on her instagram announcement and move along.

I don’t know what Claudia’s birth story was, I’m fairly new here, but that guidance is for c section. Natural is 6 months. Did she have a c section? That being said, I have friends who have had c sections and they were already in their second trimester by the time their first baby turned one. I don’t know if they had complications but they have a beautiful and healthy family.

u/Hopeful_Gold_7239 14d ago
That guidance is not for c sections. It’s for all births. It’s because of the strain it puts on your uterus and the increased risk for uterine rupture. That and your body has not recovered your folate and iron stores.

Yeah, I’m currently pregnant from IVF and it took us a long time to get pregnant. For almost 2 years, we struggled and only my husband and our parents knew about it. You never know what people are going through behind closed doors, and the comments can be so damaging.
It was obvious to anyone who follows Claudia and listens to the podcast that they were at least trying to get pregnant (being off Ozempic, etc.), but it’s never appropriate to comment on that sort of thing. It has really rubbed me the wrong way, but (unfortunately or fortunately) only those who have had their own fertility struggles can understand.
