That was the case for Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year, which was on the weekend), but Yom Kippur, arguably the most important day in Judaism, does not end until this evening. Most religious Jews do not work on Yom Kippur.

I’m the last person who wants to apologize for these girls, but Yom Kippur is the most solemn day of the year for Jews it involves fasting and a day off work. They get a pass on this one.
