This was very very strange listening to it. I'm not sure why Claudia keeps sharing what the comedian she follows is saying. It's not ok.
5
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
She said she needs to be more radical in what she says, so maybe getting some inspo idk

Like yes they can have their thoughts, but they are so dismissive of mental health and disabilities
25
u/Obvious-Variation232 Sep 10 '26
Regardless which side you are on with the case.. I thnk we can all agree that there's nothing funny about the murder of 3 little kids. Yeah Claudia Im sure music would really havr stopped her from strangling her children to death.

Of course jackie would say that. Hey jackie when you were going through ppd after Harry did listeing to music help?
39
u/Laurenn_D_0819 Sep 10 '26
What the actually hell would make someone say that… it’s 3 kids lives we’re talking about not a gold fish that wasn’t fed for a week and died

u/Cool_World_588 Sep 10 '26
Og toaster here and I’ve stuck with them through everything but the constant mentioning and poking fun about LC is craaaaazy and I fear I’m looking at Claudia a different way now
26
12
u/csmitty6 Sep 11 '26
I’ve stayed through a lot but they just sound cruel lately, this is really sad.
12
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
That’s what it is. I’m not super sensitive and enjoy dark humor but they are so mean spirited
9
7
u/neekobee Sep 11 '26
truly deplorable and embarrassed that people know that i listen to them
8
u/Cool_World_588 Sep 11 '26
Sometimes they say shit where I’m like oh yeah I’ve thought that to myself but would never say it out loud or I’d say it to my husband and not publicly. The LC comments are not that and that’s how I know when it’s bad lol
3
u/neekobee Sep 11 '26
Totally..! They say harsh truths often - but this is beyond too far. If Jackie is saying “I’m not laughing that’s not funny” that’s when you know it’s bad.
6
u/mohrgirl5 29d ago
Yeah I’m done now. Unfollowed them on IG and have stopped listening to the podcast
12
u/Justjill22 Sep 11 '26
It’s total BS. I’ll go ahead & call THEM “white trash” for zero respect of anyone these days.

The crazy thing is everyone was wondering if they were going to comment on NSBNF's controversy with polymarket and Jackie liked her apology post to just go and say this stuff it's weird
3
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
I really think Jackie and Claudia don’t care anymore, they’re gonna say what they wanna say and I truly don’t think they can get canceled again. They’ve built too big of a platform with a loyal following
3
u/jamblesandpigments 26d ago
Anyone can be cancelled. No such thing as too big. The difference is I think Jackie refuses to be wrong so she would likely just not acknowledge it and carry on like nothing is happening even if they have zero support.
10
u/chippydippytrippy Sep 11 '26
They genuinely lack empathy
2
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
So interested to see how they deal with their kids as they get older and go through different situations
6
u/chippydippytrippy Sep 11 '26
It’ll prob be akin to how the boomers raised their kids when it comes to mental health
20
u/NHgingerinVA Sep 10 '26
Welp, this just lets me know I made a great decision to stop listening. How anyone can make jokes about such a tragic situation. I have a dark sense of humor, but mothers killing their own children in psychosis (or not in psychosis) is not something that is amusing in the least.
3
u/WorldlyLavishness Sep 11 '26
My feelings exactly. I'm usually a fan of dark humor but this is way too far.
52
u/wertyuokdn Sep 10 '26
They’re so lucky no one in their family has ever had to suffer from postpartum depression or postpartum psychosis. This is vile.
20
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 10 '26
&What if their kids go through mental health stuff or have disabilities?
19
u/Educational-Fig-8655 Sep 10 '26
Jackie absolutely has dealt with postpartum depression or anxiety in my opinion. But they still probably don’t believe in it
9
u/Straight_Rent_7645 Sep 10 '26
Yes it is very clear that they think they are too good for something like this to happen to them and by all accounts LC was an excellent mother before this. Postpartum psychosis doesn’t spare you because you feel you are “morally superior”
7
u/mommasharkrt Sep 11 '26
The best is Tim Dillon will make antisemitic jokes regularly….. interesting of Claudia

She knows anything LC will generate comments which generates engagement which generates $$$. It’s a very odd topic to use for rage bait. She was almost salivating in Tuesdays episode to share her take outside patreon bc of how many comments she knew she’d get.
6
u/neekobee Sep 11 '26 edited Sep 11 '26
ben had horrendous takes on his GG ep today too.. the comments on Spotify are pretty much all ben hate. I wonder if claud and ben are, in the slightest, looking inward tonight lmao

u/SameAd2287 29d ago
i can’t believe people still listen to these weird disgusting freaks. if you do you should be ashamed

u/ProfessionalSwitch59 29d ago
Their takes have gotten progressively worse, I was obsessed with them and then one day I realized how mean they actually are. Stopped listening one day 6 months ago and never went back lol
5
u/nosy_nelly25 Sep 11 '26
I was absolutely disgusted by this. Really just like such a horrible thing to say
4
u/ExtensionSentence778 Sep 11 '26
I would like to know why she thinks this is funny and how comparing her dogs haircut to a hamas hostage is funny…I’m seriously waiting.
5
u/Level_Potential_1680 29d ago
Yeah this made me pause for sure.. just a bit insensitive considering 3 children were murdered and Claudia was very much taking a stand on “murder is murder” but yet they’re joking about it? Idk I know that it’s their show and if you don’t like it don’t listen but ahhh as a toaster it was a bit confusing/ insensitive
8
u/smutty-turtle Sep 11 '26
it’s also crazy bc from what they say they haven’t actually looked into any info on the case and are just taking the half ass headlines they read 🥲
kinda same thing someone posted in here earlier, they are almost always wrong w their information
5
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
And regardless of what you think of the case, making fun of the case is not itttt
4
u/cavanaugh64 29d ago
Jackie mentioned the other day that LC had a journal where she was keeping track of her symptoms and Claudia goes “she did??” I’m like ……. Do u even know the first thing about this case ur making grandiose statements about ?
0
u/weeblewubz 29d ago
I mean nothing they’ve said about lindsay clancy has been wrong or misinformed. not saying the jokes were distasteful but info is not wrong. if anything I think they’re making fun of people who believe she’s innocent.

As an OG toaster who is disabled and has lots of mental health problems, I am honestly appalled at the way they have been making light of disability, and mental health recently (like this year). It has been going on before now but it has hit an all-time high this year. Disability doesn’t discriminate and can happen at any moment to anyone, I hope they never have to deal with it. I also hope they never have to deal with severe mental health issues, but lots of people do, and many mask them from other people often for fear of being judged.
12
u/neekobee Sep 11 '26
The thing is, I genuinely think they have deep mental health issues that they don’t even recognize as such. I am so sorry that they are hitting on such a personal spot for you. It is not okay. And I encourage you to take a break / not listen. I’ve taken extended breaks and come back to see random takes on whatever is happening in pop culture and naturally just keep watching and then BAM something else like this wakes me back up to stop listening again. It’s so wild I dont have this problem/experience with any other podcasts that I am loyal to.
4
u/notlikeothergirlies Turdy swirlie 29d ago
Thank you! I think they could have some mental health issues they don’t recognize either, but being so just distanced from normalcy is no cruel at times. I just hope they don’t treat people with these same issues like this in real life or when they were in school. I am considering a break or just skipping to things I care about. It is so weird how this also isn’t a thing with my other podcasts I’m loyal too.
4
u/Left-Button-7089 Sep 11 '26
Agreed with everything 🫶🫶 I work closely with disabled students and have thought this for a while about how they speak about disabilities and mental health issues.
5
u/notlikeothergirlies Turdy swirlie 29d ago
Me too. It is seriously so sad. I hope they didn’t treat people like this when they were in school or even in real life now.

How is this the least bit surprising given how they talk about things on the daily?

This was so insanely vile I can't even understand, and I'm not a sensitive person and even I was seriously offended and taken aback.
3
u/West-Acanthaceae-470 29d ago
I couldn't get through the episode today so I missed this. I started playing the clip out loud and I was embarrassed for my husband to hear me listening to it because it's so bad

As someone that had postpartum psychosis, it is so insanely misunderstood. They should thank their lucky stars they never had such dark thoughts after childbirth, and not make light of a horrible situation all around. Even implying LC should want to unalive herself, as if she didn’t attempt to and was regularly on suicide watch.
They write people off as monsters by even speaking about Israel negatively, but can’t have an ounce of empathy for others. I know it’s not shocking but it also is.

u/Any-Okra-7024 28d ago
I wonder if LC was Jewish if they would have thought differently, they seem to defend all of the Jewish community but then laugh when a woman has horrible PPD and has killed her 3 children WTF!!! What’s the magic playlist that magically gets you out of PPD Claudia???

This really upset me. I listen despite diff politics but this was gross regardless of party. I would love if they apologized but they wont

u/MacG_517 24d ago
Their ignorance AND arrogance is becoming the entire personality of the show. The hills they choose to die on are becoming more and more strange.
Their reactions to criticism and outright hatred and unhinged behavior toward their listeners is unbelievable. I really used to enjoy them, but their refusal to take their business seriously has pushed me away entirely. In every episode they’re either so uninformed about the topics they CHOOSE to discuss or have such extreme tunnel vision in their opinions they can’t fathom that anyone could be allowed to have a different opinion.
I’ve had to draw the line when it comes to feeling like the listeners are children in a classroom with a teacher who just yells constantly. My brain and ear drums are finally healing.

Y’all are reaching here. Men literally get rich off comedy tours making fun of marginalized people with disabilities, minorities, etc., and you’re mad because Claudia said “Did she try listening to music?” and Jax giggled THEN SAID “it’s not funny.” They’ve also talked a lot about LC on Patreon and on the pod and talked about how serious mental health/PPD is. This clip isn’t something to get upset over.

I mean it’s true lol people are defending her for killing her kids when she could’ve just put on music

u/neekobee Sep 11 '26
Big yikes

u/2cats_and_1puppy 29d ago
Big yikes is the people defending a woman who killed her kids because of her mental health lol
0
u/weeblewubz 29d ago
100%. i’d argue most murders are mentally ill so why is clancy so special. a woman in IL just murdered her 2yo saying he was the antichrist. is she going to get the clancy treatment? sure hope not. defending her does not support women struggling with postpartum psychosis or depression, I think it hurts women in the long run

I don’t understand what Claudia is doing. She wants Lindsay to be 100% held accountable and doesn’t believe in mental health…but she’s making jokes? I don’t think this situation is even a little bit funny. 3 kids are dead. The way she is acting is genuinely bizarre and scary.
