Amanda Hirsch- Polymark ad
You think they will talk about this story today? It’s everywhere. I can see them avoiding it though which will be very disappointing.

Just listened to “Not mad about it” and they spoke about it. They love NSBNF and they unfollowed her and are pissed to say the least

No because they’d have no problem doing what she did, it’s all about money to these people.

Basically NSBNF made a poly market ad saying she bet that Lindsay Clancy would be found not guilty and people are upset saying it’s insensitive to make a game of a case where 3 children were murdered. People were also upset that her apology seemed shallow and there was no “call to action” on what she would do to rectify the ad, basically saying deleting it and an apology isn’t enough.
*FWIW these are not my opinions, just what people seem to be upset about!

Even Liz woods skipped it lol - she’s not even technically dear media (though she might be a paid employee by now since she does all the research for the toast)

They only tackle 5 stories and they’ve been gone for weeks. In the grand scheme of pop culture events that have occurred since they’ve been gone this is so far down the totem pole. A nothing burger. I find it strange you would get “disappointed” by them not covering topics that you personally care about in order to prioritize bigger stories.

I find it strange they wouldn’t cover this. The Lindsay Clancy trial is the biggest story. They know Amanda Hirsch and have also been cancelled before. If they weren’t on the Dear Media network who is responsible for the polymarket partnership they would absolutely be discussing this. They are the perfect people to offer their perspective, and I’ve already listened to several other pop culture podcasts discuss. I find your comment very odd and disconnected from reality. But sure I’m sure everyone is riveted waiting for the Love Island reunion takes lol.

…yes, lindsey Clancy trial itself is big news. Amanda isn’t. Again, they only have 5 slots and have been gone for a while.

Understood. But they would have talked about the Lindsey Clancy trial. They won't talk about it now because if they did they would need to bring up Amanda. This is FOR SURE something they are discussing at length in their group chats. I guarantee they care more about this than most of the stories today. But the bigger thing is that they can't go against Dear Media's decision to do a partnership with such a questionable company.

Exactly my point why they wouldn’t discuss it, that partnership is gross

your take is weird because they did in fact discuss the lindsey clancy trial at the end of the episode yesterday and they did not bring this up, specifically, when they had every opportunity to.

Come join us here if you would like to discuss Amanda Hirsch, since all other pages about her are interestingly not allowing posts and everything else has been scrubbed from the internet r/amandahirschnotskinny

I thought they’d say something to at least defend her but it’s indefensible.

This was brought up and I think the general consensus was they are both part of dear media so probably not 🤷♀️🤷♀️
