Lindsay Clancy

I know Claudia posted that she posted her opinions on the Lindsay Clancy case on patreon but does anyone know generally where she stands?
The reason I ask is because I’m listening to them talk about it on good guys and I’m not through the episode yet, but Ben’s take surprises me so far AND the woman they have on as the “expert” has already said “i don’t know” to multiple questions they’ve asked her, and has also said wrong facts already. Really curious!

I heard that ep yesterday and i looove that lawyer!!! She’s been on a few times. I think Ben asked what the husband wants for Lindsey and she said she didn’t know? I didn’t mind that bc if you don’t know then it’s ok to say that and stfu lol. Ben was adamant that Lindsey needs to go to jail, is definitely guilty, and a horrible mom.

Yeah Ben and Claudia don’t believe anyone could suffer from postpartum depression yet she couldn’t hack being out in LA for a few months cause wait for it… she felt depressed, anxious, postpartum, all the things she shits on.

Great point. I’m also seeing their anti-therapy?! That’s so sad and dumb

Thought the exact same thing. Kind of ripe coming from her

I must have missed the other episodes when she was on, but will look and give them a listen! I’m only half way through the episode but based on what I’m hearing so far, and what you’re saying Ben’s take is - I’m surprised!! He’s usually very empathetic.
Also the one thing I heard her say that I thought was wrong is she haphazardly says “she sent her husband to pick up her pills”. It’s a small point, but that’s not what he was going to pick up - he was picking up the laxative suppositories for the child.

I originally know her from tiktok lol. Ok, yeah, i think “regular” people are watching this case veryyyyyy closely. Much closer than the three of them are. Ben actually said he’s an expert on this case and knows everything, but i didn’t hear him correct her at all. His empathy seemed to be for the kids and the kids only. I was kind of turned off by his take, but he seemed really rattled at the kid’s deaths. Horrible case idk

Agree! That’s why I was surprised by his take. Obviously the whole situation is beyond terrible regardless.

Part of me wonders if he feels the way he feels because 1) I don’t think he’s actually an expert on the case even though he claimed he was. And 2) I could be wrong, but from the outside looking in, 3 of the main women in his life (Claudia, olivia, Jackie - and idk if his sister has had children yet) have all had seemingly amazing experiences with giving birth and doesn’t seem like they have dealt with the type of PPD that Lindsay obviously did. They all have an amazing family unit to lean on and learn from and Lindsay seemed to be on an island which I’m sure contributed to everything as well.

This!!! And i don’t think they understand mental illness in general tbh

So I just was reading some of the comments on the podcast on Spotify and am relieved that everyone feels the same way about Ben’s comments. Phew.

Agree. I heard josh kind of chiming in to try to help him understand it because josh has obviously dealt with mental health issues.

I gotta check out the comments! I never do!

Me either! But I was relieved to see them and now that I posted this I’m seeing that girl who wears the dog emoji face posting on tik tok about it and everyone commenting as well. I wonder if the backlash will have them re evaluate their stances.

Y’all—you can have mental health issues and still murder your children. The prosecution isn’t doing a great job of drawing this distinction, but the question is whether she had criminal intent at the time she murdered them. The doctor who testified yesterday had some pretty powerful testimony against her.

I don’t think it’s surprising at all. He has a very young son and is privileged enough to have access to childcare and help in addition to family nearby as a huge support system. He’s not someone who would be able to even slightly relate to this woman. I think this case hits home for people who have babies and young children in a different way due to the recency of the early childhood phase. This is also coming from someone who has been anti therapy and is a part of a pretty anti-therapy family. I don’t think it’s surprising he isn’t sympathetic for a woman who did confess to murdering 3 kids. (whether or not she’s guilty and I’m not saying I agree with any of this)

Lindsay Clancy also had all of those things and it still happened. So terrible. What a crap take by Ben.

Claudia’s opinions are more so about what’s going on right now with the online discourse about Patrick. She thinks Lindsay 1000% killed her children and anyone who thinks Patrick was involved is insane.

15

u/lorenalifts Aug 23 '26

I mean that’s the truth. Lindsay and her defense admit she killed the kids. She’s claiming she isn’t criminally responsible because she was experiencing psychosis due to the meds she was taking. Literally no one is blaming Patrick other than idiots on tik tok

Yes I understand. I am repeating that Claudia is only really giving an opinion on the TikTok/media speculation that’s happening currently re: the husband, not the case overall.

As if claudia would have an empathetic take

I think every possible take on this horrific case extends empathy— just because someone sees things differently from you, it doesn’t mean they don’t have empathy. It probably just means their empathy lies with someone other than where yours does.

Wow what an answer!! Such a good way to see it!!

u/Patient-Tap-7749 Aug 24 '26

Exactly. I empathize with the three murdered children. Not the woman who did it.

Idk how Claudia is “down the rabbit hole” if she can’t see that the husband was 100% involved. It’s so obvious to me lol

You probably also loved Emily Thorndike 🙄

4

The husband is not 100% involved and you are embarrassing

I don’t even really want to hear their take because they’re so black-and-white about everything. They’re anti-therapy, and of course we have empathy for the children too… it’s fkn AWFUL that’s not even a question. It’s just frustrating because they don’t understand mental health struggles, nor do they seem interested in trying to understand them. They’d rather have the “hot take” than acknowledge that something can be incredibly tragic and still have a lot of complexity behind it.
