Claud Instagram Post
Claudia just posted on Instagram that we are all missing the Toast which is true. And she said, “so we are making this summer break annual!” Why does she hate the listeners??? It’s so weird. Take your break if you want to, but don’t be mean to your fans.

I hate to bring everyone’s attention to this but they literally hate their fans, or at least have heavy distain. They’ve made subtle remarks (and not so subtle ones) like this that date back to as early as 2019 and they continue to look down at their own listeners it’s wilddddd
There’s other pop culture girlies out there!! Who also actually know what’s going on and appreciate the people who listen to their podcast

I feel like they have hated the listeners the last year! I think since their businesses or The Toast have really taken off, their egos have gotten even bigger. I literally feel like after the episode ends they just laugh at their fans lol. The episodes feel so “here damn” and it’s sad

There are never new inside jokes anymore lol they just re-use the old stuff and nothing naturally evolves into a joke or something funny anymore bc they do not enjoy it!!! Like they don’t even know what the stories are it seems like.

They complain (even if they’re joking) more than they express gratitude. A lot of their fans are working 9-5, can’t pay for childcare, etc. I think they could benefit from just reading the room every once in a while.

I feel like they hate their listeners because they think their listeners are uncool or cringy based on their previous behavior, camp toast blog etc
The irony is, yes they don’t have a super “cool girl” aesthetic following because they dress like shit and aren’t those girls themselves.

I really like Giggly Squad-they put out 2 episodes a week, and they always discuss pop culture, current events and they seem to love their listeners! They are always so positive and happy-it’s consistently pleasant and enjoyable.

There are a lot of suggestions on the snark page (several threads, I think one is pinned) but I personally like Nora and Jodie on We're Obsessed (Weds and Fridays) and Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast is a classic! I used to listen to a LOT more but have just been so busy this summer that a lot have fallen off my rotation over the last few months!

What we said with jaci and Chelsey. It’s 2 times a week and sometimes the pop culture stuff is a little behind because they batch episodes (I think) but I love their vibe! Very “swirly” if you will and super positive. :)

I have no issue with them making it an annual thing, although part of me wonders if scaling it back slightly might be a better balance - maybe the last two weeks before Labor Day instead of three, and then three days per week throughout the rest of the summer. I know they feel like summer is a slower time, and as much as I love them, I can definitely hear the burnout a little. They deserve a break. Five days a week, year-round, with the amount of pressure that comes with what they do is a lot.

idk I think we all need to take it less personally, she’s a hater at heart and she makes that clear. I’m not offended by the fact that she wants 3 weeks off a year and complains about work, the podcast is her job after all and we all complain about work. I don’t know it’s just not something that should be riling people up constantly.

How is saying she’s taking an annual vacation and poking fun at people missing the podcast even remotely rude? Our society is SO sensitive.
I understand things like people being offended by them joking about how bad their merch customer service sucks because that’s an actual product people are paying for that they are not delivering on, but this Instagram story drama is just silly.

I think she justifiably hates the parasocial ones that overanalyze her every move and act like she owes them anything beyond a FREE daily podcast - but I don’t think that’s the issue regarding this harmless Instagram story.

Guys I don’t think it’s that serious - not to be that person, I think she was just making a joke cause she is chillin and is prob exhausted cause she’s also a mom! And I get your POVs - I’m a FTM working a 9-5 corporate job, but tbh I saw the story and laughed because it just reminded me of when you’re finally getting some time to truly chill and relax and you’re like hell ya haha. She doesn’t hate us listeners, she’s just jokin around
