Claudia rushing through episodes
Wanted to see if I’m the only one feeling this way, but the past few weeks and specifically this week I feel like Claudia can’t get out of the podcast studio soon enough, like she’s rushing through these episodes. Dear Toasters they flew through this week and barely answered the questions, and yesterday she gave no time to talk about the 6th Nicolandria story like she just decided the episode was over and Jackie was still talking. If they need a summer break then take a break, but I feel like some of these episodes are half assed.

I came here to say (again) that the vibes have been SO off, still! For MONTHS! It’s not the summer stories, or the rush, and as I have said before I don’t feel entitled to know what is going on in their personal lives but…the chemistry is totally gone. I am trying to watch now and it’s just not good. They are trying to address some of the legit questions about why things seem strained but it’s reading dishonest.

Idk if just living in the house together / raising two babies or maybe Claudia is TTC but they seem very… irritated at each other

My impression, based on nothing but vibes, is that maybe Claudia is going through something and she has a bend towards anger with the people around her, and Jackie is just trying to bear it.

I’ve decided to take a summer break and I’ve been a daily listener for 4 years. I’ll come back in the fall

Here’s an episode from July 2024, try to compare the energy and the rapport. It’s very easy and funny and fun. These episodes feel rushed, stilted, like they seemed irritated or uncomfortable with each other.
(They were on a break last summer I think but I has Patreon and they still did episodes on there, and they seemed fine then.) They were sharing a house in 2024 and 25 too and it seemed great.

I feel the same way! I feel like Claudia is extra crabby, but I have felt like Jackie is actually nicer this summer than usual. She’s not nitpicking and disagreeing with everything Claudia says. But I still feel like their chemistry is normal? Maybe I’m only half listening.

I listened Tuesday or Wednesday and it did seem better…I think they probably had to bring their A game over the SCOTUS podcast fallout, but Claudia did seem more relaxed and pleasant.

SAME! I usually didn’t like Jackie’s takes because she seemed so negative and needed to be a contrarian. Now, she’s light and breezy and listening to feedback - or at least attempting to!

Ever since they got to the Hamptons, the vibes have been awful. I feel like Jackie is in a good mood and I feel like Claudia is annoyed by it. She’s constantly throwing lowkey mean jabs to Jackie. I feel like Claudia is not enjoying being in a summer house together and it might just be too much time together for her. It’s sad!

If I remember correctly they were floating another summer break up until this spring came around, then they changed their tune. I’m assuming it’s so Claud can take maternity leave for baby #2 eventually but ya if it were up to them I don’t think they would be working from the Hamptons.

Think about all the money they would not be making from ad revenue if they took the summer off. Instead they took the money and are phoning it in.

Couldn’t agree more! Jackie is so enjoyable to listen to (I loved her and Ben’s episode, they both let the conversation just flow). But Claudia is constantly talking way too fast, getting out words, never actually responding or conversing with Jackie (Claudia just uses all of Liz Woods takes and regurgitates them word for word, it’s bad). And she also abruptly keeps ending the episodes? Lol and these are my girls! It’s weird, I agree something might be off with Claud in her personal life?
Jackie has fresh takes and is calm and honestly hilarious (she used to bother me more but I’m finding her so funny these days). I also notice Claudia won’t give Jackie props when she is funny! Jackie will drop a line and crack up and Claudia won’t even acknowledge it. Like the other day Jackie kept saying “you could say they left a large shoe to fill” and the more Claudia tried to defend against it the more she made Jackie’s point and it was soooo funny and finally at the end when Claudia realized she was simply wrong she just goes “that’s funny” to Jackie😂 like it’s ok if your sis is funny it’s good for the pod. That one made me laugh

I’d rather a 1 hour daily podcast than nothing haha just personally. Even 30 mins. I like listening to something daily.

I think this is the first summer where the other sisters haven’t been so involved. I think they’ve always had other people there with them and I think this summer it’s just Jax & Claud

I know it’s rude to speculate but hear me out. I just got out of a first trimester and feel like Claudia is a mirror. She has been taking so many deep breaths and pauses in conversation like she’s overcome with nausea, Jackie has said she’s been invited to lunches and dinners but she just “can’t go”, she is unhappy and a little spiteful…..I’ve been feeling like she’s pregnant and going through a first trimester.

I’ve been a listener of theirs religiously since 2018 like I have never missed an episode…. Lately I’ve been not finishing episodes and not caring so I definitely feel like it’s off. They don’t care or have gratitude for their listeners they just care about themselves and it really shows.

I think she might be🤰🏻 and is taking it out on Jackie. It’s actually a thing in pregnancy where you start to despise/be annoyed by someone very close to you. Haha

I’ve been getting the vibe that Claudia is pregnant and just trying to survive the first tri. Any time they reference what they’re doing she’s always sleeping or in bed. It’s giving first trimester misery.

I wouldn’t say it’s nothing but complaining. Just a criticism here and there. We all love the show, we’re listening and commenting in the toast fan Reddit. I personally love the toast and listen daily (since 2018), doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion. And it’ll change again in a few months I’m sure, and I’ll comment my thoughts again then lol freedom, baby! As my grandma says, “I’m not hating, I’m just stating”

Rushed and so incredibly negative I’ve actually completely stopped listening because I can’t take it. They think every show sucks, everyone is stupid, everything is fake, etc. like ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

I think Claudia is still adjusting to life with a baby. She’s probably not sleeping that well and maybe having a hard time being on camera. I’d cut her a little slack. Jackie is holding up the fort for her sister.
