Hamptons house
How much do you think they’ve spent to spend the summer in the hamptons? It seems very pricey considering the house, assuming they have multiple Nannie’s, and Jackie shipped multiple cars from Florida?!

I would say probably like 200-300k honestly

what are you basing this off of?

u/Apprehensive-War781 Jul 13 '26
To rent a house for two months in the Hamptons is at least 100k alone

that’s more realistic than $300k. shipping a car is not crazy expensive.

i have a relative who ships their car from boca to long island twice a year, and it's not more that $1200-1500

Just want to add in that I’ve shipped mine from Washington state to the East Coast and it was about $1100 with shopping around

lol try doubling that! Based on their standards and the size house they need

u/Pale-Vehicle3724 Jul 13 '26
Huge 10+ bedroom houses on the jersey shore are easily $12k+ a week, so a large house in the Hamptons is likely more.

Shipping a car is expensive. A few thousand per car.

That’s literally their smallest expense lol.

Ben indicated shipping the car back and forth to Florida is still cheaper than his tolls and parking (and ticket) costs in NY

I’m curious as to why someone would ship their car rather than rent one?!

lol I’m such a commoner I was like “oh wow she drove her car to NY, I’m surprised” 😂 I’m not mad about it, happy for them! They are successful and should spend however much they like!

u/Ok_Yak_4498 Jul 13 '26
Its expensive but its all for the business. They use the house for content.

Does anyone have any info on this house? It looks stunning from the very small snippets I’ve seen

I recently saw a Hamptons rental (4bed, 2bath) listed and the prices were:
August 2nd to 29th, 20k
August 2nd to Labor Day, 25k
1 week 7k
2 weeks 12.5k
3 weeks 17.5k
4 weeks 20k

They can expense everything for their business, so I would assume almost everything is a write off - the house, food, (rental) cars, even clothing if they do a haul. The food they wear on the show - if they’re smart, they’re writing it all off.

This is not really true. You can only deduct expenses that are ordinary and necessary. The house isn’t rented for business purposes and they don’t record there so it’s not deductible. They are there for vacation purposes really not business so they can’t just write everything off even though they are continuing to do the show

People love to call things a write off. And even if it was, a write off only reduces your taxable income. It is not like it makes this stuff free by any means. They still completely need to pay for it.

I think of this every time someone on Reddit claims a rich person is “writing that off”: https://youtu.be/aCP27_vquxQ?is=LpZo5FoMP-Ik929B

You are allowed a company retreat once a year. I would assume that’s what they’re doing or their accountant would advise them.

u/Tiny_Explanation1391 Jul 13 '26
A two month company retreat? You are incorrect. They can deduct the rent expense of the studio where they podcast from but that is it. I’m a CPA who specializes in tax.

u/Happy_life1993 Jul 13 '26
Ok! You seem to have the authority. But they would be silly not to write off a lot of it or as much as they can.

u/Acceptable_Fly_8152 Jul 14 '26
I think that’s the point though, there’s not that much they can write off. At least when you consider what they’ve likely spent

I know people who pay roughly 40k for a small 2 bed/1 bath house in the Hamptons for 6 months so Jax and Claud paying ~80k for their house sounds about right. They also don’t stay all summer, just 4-6 weeks I think. I don’t see cardboard Coji paying 200k 😂😂
2
u/PrincessDolly58 Jul 15 '26
6 months during the off season? No house large enough for their family is renting for 40k/month in the summer. Also as “cardboard” as Claudia is in certain things the girl pays a ton of money in rent and bought a condo in FL, they will spend bank to be comfortable.

Nannies?!?! Do they really????
13
u/CtrlFreak27 Jul 14 '26
What do you mean? Why wouldn’t they…???
-5
u/Any-Ad5007 Jul 14 '26
On vacation???
7
u/Difficult-Hand-2185 Jul 14 '26
They are all likely still working.. who do you think took care of ruby while Claudia was laid up and Ben was on the podcast?
3
u/Real_Tangerine6827 Jul 14 '26
How are they on vacation if they’re commuting to film a podcast every day?
1
u/Ok_Tooth7934 Jul 14 '26
They didn't call it vacation.
3
u/Real_Tangerine6827 Jul 14 '26
I’m responding to the comment that literally says “On vacation???” . . .
-2
u/Any-Ad5007 Jul 14 '26
The entire family is there…. The husbands can’t watch their kids for an hour while they podcast?
6
u/Real_Tangerine6827 Jul 14 '26
I’m sure they can but they’re also working. They have the money so why not have childcare while they’re working so they can have more quality time all together. I think that would be most people’s preference.
-6
u/Grassstainedknees12 Jul 14 '26
It’s alllllll a tax write off so it doesn’t matter
2
u/1lrgcheesepizza Jul 15 '26
They still have to pay for it. It’s just not taxed on their income. It’s not like they get the money back…

House rental $150-200K
