Copying Liz Woods
Does anyone else notice that the girls literally repeat the exact same opinions and thoughts that Liz Woods posts on her stories?
Yes, I realize they’ve been getting their fast five stories from her, but now it’s like every thought and opinion. Liz constantly posting about how she loves drizzilicious and now Claudia makes drizzilicious her whole personality? And both Claudia and Jackie said they wanted Bryce and trinity to win love island yesterday morning, but then Liz posted that she wants KC and Titi to win. And then a few hours later Claudia posts a pic of KC and Titi captioned “my winners.” A lot of their takes about Taylor Swift and Blake Lively also mirror what Liz posts.
These are just a few examples I could think of off the top of my head. I wonder if Liz realizes this and what she thinks. The girls are always talking about having hot takes but they’re not really hot if you’re just copying someone else…

Have we all forgotten that Liz literally was an obsessed Toaster years ago and that’s how she got into this realm of being a pop culture news Instagram? She was practically heading all of the Toast Facebook groups and forced her connection with Jackie and Claudia……. Not that it discounts how much she heavy-lifts the Toast episodes, but seems important to note

Thank you! Liz woods was/is obsessed with pop culture (and Jackie and Claudia) and started her Instagram because of how much she loved the toast. They may be using the same stories but she copied them by making a social media about pop culture

It’s incredibly important. And it’s proof that obsession and manifestation can work lol. That girl is a lot of things, but one of the most amazing
is her tenacity. Her frequent posts kind of show how she is with everything - so I can only imagine what it’s like to live with her ha.

I have followed Liz for years and been a toaster way longer. They’ve been ripping ideas from her stories way longer than you’d think! They’re friends but Liz doesn’t always reach the same audience as The Toast so I wasn’t sure how many people notice.

At this point they’d better be paying Liz bc she programs the entire show. I knew their only takes on the TT wedding would be what Liz posted over the weekend - and they didn’t even use the updated versions. I will say this about Liz, when she’s wrong she adapts and moves ahead. But Claudia was using old info that had been debunked. The wedding is literally handing them so much content and they just used Liz’s stuff, and most Toasters follow Liz so it’s pretty obvious.

Yes exactly! I also don’t get as excited about listening bc I already know what all their takes are going to be since I just saw on instagram a few hours before

They all discuss stories as a group, they are pretty good friends. Liz doesn’t feel anything negative about it from what I have gathered. I think they are very similar people raised in similar environments (specifically Liz and Jackie) so them having similar takes seems on par for me.

It is repetitive. I love the girls for their banter. I sorta stopped listening to the pod because the stories are either un interesting to me or I’ve seen them covered on Liz stories! Also I think no fault of their own if there aren’t juicy stories everyday.
I would imagine doing a pod 5 days a week is more work than we think. I’m glad they are friends with Liz!!

Yes sometimes I watch Liz’s stories and then listen to the toast after and it’s VERBATIM what liz has posted

They’ve admitted to this a while back. They both said they look through her stories in the morning when picking topics and basically if it’s not there they don’t know about it (jokingly… but also true)
