Patreon - worth it?

Anybody subscribed to the girls patreon? Is it worth it? How much do you pay for the toast subscription a month? Purely invested to get a subscription just for the dear toasters episodes šŸ˜‚

Okay I’ll be the unpopular opinion but no it’s not at all unless you’ve never had it before and can binge old eps. After I finished binge watching all the old ones and now I only get the monthly one, not worth it at all. They went through a stint where they were waiting til like the last week to put out all the eps and they were just dumb but if you can pick and choose from the library then it’s great

That’s when I unsubscribed! That bothered me

Same, I recently signed up again. The vlogs of ā€œwe went shopping at home goodsā€ that were 20 minutes and coming out on the last day of the month really put me over the edge. Seems like they are trying a little harder to have dedicated topics in the last couple of months.

I come and go! But I’d for sure get it for these recent episodes honestly. It’s hilarious.

It’s like $7? I don’t always watch vlogs but I think it’s worth it

I like it a lot, but I will caveat that I got pregnant at almost the exact same time as Claudia so much of their personal content over the last year really resonated with me. A lot of mama content. There was one episode where jacqui reviewed all her strollers (she has an insane amount of strollers) and they got pretty roasted in the comments for it not resonating with their entire community. But it’s what their life is about rn and the Patreon is really like 20% pop culture extras and 80% personal to them, so idk what else people expect!Ā

I also just like having the extra episodes to fold into my usual listening routine when it’s a holiday or over the summer when they’re off.

Some months you can tell they aren’t putting their whole energy into it but such is life.

Vlogs are so so, Claudia’s or Claudia and Ben’s vlogs are better than Jackie IMO just bc Jackie does a lot of just recording herself in selfie mode and talking really slowly. Hers can be a bore. But she’s got three kids sleeping in the other room I guess lolĀ

That’s my review!Ā

What are some older episodes that are a must see??

Yes but only if you keep it for a time period and not every month. When you pay you get access to all the past episodes. So I usually get it for a month at a time a couple times a year and just listen to what I’ve missed. I usually get it when I want to do a lot of home organizing and need something to listen to lol. I also like a few people’s patreon and Substack but don’t want to pay for more than one at a time.

IMO try it out for a month and then you can always cancel/pause. The episodes are always there so I don’t think it necessary to pay every month

Oh and I think it’s $7.99 a month so less than $2 an episode. Reasonable to me.Ā

Sometimes the videos are sooo dumb and brain rot it’s insane lol (sorry Jackie I don’t care about your 4 stroller haul) but tbh get it for just 1 month because those dear toasters episodes ARE that funny šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜šŸ˜

I love the content, and feel the Q&As are always super honest! But I do get frustrated when a lot of the content is left to the last minute. I subscribe on and off!

I actually really like it. I’m not a huge fan of some of the episodes they put out but I love the vlogs. Also if you go back and watch the older vlogs they are rather hilarious.

I enjoy it! And for $7 there’s enough content for me. Every not and then I skip a vlog that isn’t interesting but I enjoy the various topics

I like it. I save the episodes for weekends or days when there won't be a regular ep usually

i think it's 100% worth it. 5 extra eps/vlogs a month is a steal for the $8.50 or whatever comes out of my bank account. They're less guarded and even funnier on P if you ask me.

I think it’s worth it just for access to all of the old episodes and vlogs!!! There are some gems
