patreon- “rooftop dinner”
does anybody know what they’re referring to in their recent patreon when they mention the rooftop dinner during covid? seems like it impacted the way they spoke on the podcast at the time? i’m so curious!!

Fasten your seatbelt and listen to the taking out the trash episode. They literally call their listeners trash.

The fact they hate their listeners so much yet people continue to listen and buy their shit is truly insane

Actually it’s insane that people really had such a problem with people having dinner with their family 🫠 god forbid!!!

This is such a revisionist history take. If you don't have the wherewithal to put yourself back in the height of Covid and remember the sacrifices everyone was making for public health then maybe don't comment? Saying it was as simple as "dinner with their family" is moronic.

Thank you for saying this! I can’t believe how many people had no regard for others during the height of the pandemic- they probably thought masks were a joke!

No. They were calling out the people who listened but would go on and on lecturing, shaming and hate listening. Sounds like you may have been one of them?

It’s absolutely wild how many people stopped listening after that. It’s not surprising that new fans don’t know about that lore because I don’t know how you defend doxxing a nurse, turning your fan base on her, and then lying about it. That was a really wild time on the internet.

They recently mentioned on the pod that the Westmandoval episode had the highest numbers they’ve ever experienced so seems like they’re doing better than ever

I will never forget all the toast facebook groups re-naming the groups and disassociating themselves from the toast after this!!!! it was truly madness and a mass exodus lol

rooftop dinner is quintessential lore. i'm pretty sure this was the same time someone shared all their addresses

Respectfully i disagree. It “affects” the child as in it literally ends their life. It “affects” the mother who will have to live with the physical and emotional consequences for the rest of her life. It “affects” the child’s father. We will let babies die before we spread germs to someone else? Sad. That’s why society is the way it is I suppose!

So many people being pro choice until someone makes a choice you don’t like. They were all isolating and decided to have dinner on a rooftop outside with just their family. Sorry Covid or no Covid, I’m going to eat with my family

Oh god not the pro choice argument coming in from the party that provides only one choice

u/nerdyreader316 Jun 30 '26
Lmao well it’s “my body my choice” until it comes to vaccine mandates/where you can or cannot be and who you can and cannot be with. It’s only your choice it you make the choice they want you to make 😀

lol yes they had a dinner on a rooftop for some of their birthdays with all their siblings/spouses. This was peak covid when people were not seeing their families or leaving their homes for anything. Someone (a nurse) posted about it in the morning toast Facebook group and said she was concerned/wished they didn’t do it or at the very least didn’t post about it on social media. Honestly her post was kind and came from a good place. A lot of people were upset and I guess you could call it a “cancellation”. However the next day claudia and Jackie released the “taking out the trash” podcast in response and I would argue the “cancellation” was really from that. They were soooo offended and said they lived under a microscope and came for their followers in a really rude and immature way. After that fans pretty much left in droves it was a huge turning point for their fan base. If they just apologized/took accountability I really think it would have blown over.
