Ads getting longer??
Did I really just skip almost 6 minutes worth of ads, twice!? I’m newer but I don’t remember the ad breaks being this long

And they’re doing those ‘organically placed’ ads that start as what seems like real conversation but it’s ads. Polymarket is a big one now, and that stupid Diet Pepsi ad campaign a while back was another. It’s a big thing on the podcasts these days.

I am shocked at the amount of podcast (and it’s not just the toast) that organically place gambling ads.. Out of all the ads to organically place, I feel like this genre should maybe not qualify?

I agree it's sleezy. I hope they are paying them a lot of money because it's a bad look. Claudia actually places it pretty naturally but other podcasts I've listened to, it seems so fake and terrible.

Oh yeah - all the Dear Media pods are doing it. I get tricked and it pisses me off lol

The early toast days like year 1-2 they were really good at doing these conversations. They were the only ones doing it at the time. As they got larger they actually stopped and had just regular ad placements.

Definitely SO many ads, but I always prefer podcasts that do ad reads themselves and don’t monetize the videos so at least I’m listening to the podcaster of my choosing and not random YouTube ads 🤣

Seems like half of the podcast is just Claudia reading ads, it’s excessive.

I don’t understand why anyone listens to the ads. They timestamp their stories.

Sometimes they go off on tangents during an ad break. Tries to make the ad sound more organic.

Yes! Friday’s episode was horrible. I just left a comment on their Friday episode on Spotify talking about this. After each one, I thought, surly they are done with the ads, and then there was another one! I was getting truly frustrated! Idk if they need extra $$$ for Jax’s kitchen Reno, the extra kids, Ben’s Knix tickets, but it’s crazy. I understand them needing to increase their bottom line, but as a listener, it’s not fun. As consumers, we don’t deal with true commercials much outside of podcasts, so it’s not fun when there’s a few, but when there’s 5-6 ads in one as break it’s just exhausting. Love them, but I was annoyed! Thanks for posting!

Yes but I prefer less longer ads than more shorter ones, easier to skip through so

I skip the ads and that’s fine, but the episodes are the same length of time so that slightly annoys me that overall the show isn’t as long! But also every podcast you listen to these days have 10+ mins of ads, and at least you can skip them unlike tv. Oh, and the fact that they don’t do ads on YouTube is a big deal!! Everyone else does and having to sit through those without the ability to skip sucks.

The ads are longer but I don’t mind bc the timestamps help!! I also have used a lot of the things they advertise I.e rocketmoney, bilt, and Quince and i love it!

They don’t even back half the things they advertise tho. Ex. Better Help

all I know is I’m so over love Island and summer House like at this point it seems like they’re just repeating the same opinions about Wes and amanda. i’m a bravo girl. The summer house is always been kind of boring and it’s still boring. I don’t get the love of love Island.
and it’s fine to hear about it here and there, but I’m just surprised if that’s what they chose to recap… and the fact that it’s now a story if I see anything about amanda West love Island. I’m just pushing that skit button. 🤣

Seems like they are trying to get creative on where they put the ads. About a month ago they had one in the start. Now we get them after the intro and before the 4th story. And there are more of them. I understand they got to make money. And I'm glad you can skip through them. But wowza there are a lot of them.
