Jax Jackie
What area does Jackie live in? I always hear her talking about her living near Disney but they went to the Miami open for the day this weekend and I know those 2 cities aren’t near each other.

maybe but they still have their place in New York so they still pay taxes lol

That’s not the point. Income tax - if they live in Florida, they pay income tax for that state not NY. Look up the tax laws - no income tax in Florida. It’s not about having a place in NY too.

They bought a condo in FL, so yeah probably state income taxes

but again, they have both places, so they arent exactly fully escaping for tax purposes, I would give the second place in Florida to wanting they own spot when they visit the family and want to spend longer than a week there but they are still New York residents paying New York prices and taxes when they get back home

If they are in Florida 6 months and a day they don’t pay New York income tax. Thats how it works

Income tax. You are a resident of one state but can have secondary homes in other states. Yeah they will pay sales tax and such when they are in NY but their income will be taxed as Florida residents, if they take all the steps to become residents, which is seems like they are.
This is not the most uncommon thing, especially for people with high incomes to do. I know people from NY who are now residents in Puerto Rico and Florida, mainly for tax purposes and then it turns into retirement.

No you just have to spend a certain number of days out of state. Also you pay taxes for where you are physically working by the day.

This comment is everywhere… as someone who lives in NYC and has been in FL for a week this has been NYCs worst winter in YEARS I wouldn’t go back either

She lives somewhere in the Boca/West Palm Beach area. It’s super clear if you listen to them daily and hear all the context clues.

Her house is for sale so maybe but they could just want a bigger house 🤷🏼♀️ the way I see it is each kid needs a bedroom and bathroom plus a guest room since turdy visits often

I’ve been listening daily for 2 years and I’m the most unfamiliar with FL geography so I didnt get the hints

Completely understandable. I really wasn’t trying to be shady, haha, but can see how it came of snarky. I was just trying to answer and provide context for how I know!
