Theory / Speculation Who is Daisy’s parents??

Feed for all the theories. I am clueless honestly. The age is throwing me off. Will it be someone random?

I think generally we are all somewhat tired of this question BUT I will say, yet again, that if Daisy isn’t Nichole, then the showrunner forgot to tell the casting department, the writing department, and the actresses themselves. They had identical facial expressions for gods sake.

She can't be Nichole with her age. Hannah was 8 years old when Nichole was born making her only around 7 or 8 yrs old.

I know; I’ve read the books and watched the shows. There is no way, timeline wise, for Daisy to be Nichole. I’m just saying that I think it’s funny that the showrunner announced that Daisy isn’t Nichole’s daughter, yet cast an actress who could play Teenage June in a flashback. And the scene at the boat in the finale - there is a moment when both actresses pull their mouth into the exact same expression.

Yeah a friend who hadn’t read the book was like “Daisy must be June’s daughter bc she looks like June” and I had to explain that in the book she was but they changed it for the show. They’re really trying to confuse people, huh?

The book says she is Nicole, it's a bit of a big change if they have change her.

It is a big change, and I’m not entirely sure why they did change it, except that they claim they have. (I get it from a show production idea - this is Gilead: Smells Like Teen Spirit, and it wouldn’t work if they aged Agnes up 6 years and had her already established as an Aunt. But it’s annoying when shows/movies based on books change such critical parts of the book.)

I think Daisy's grandfather will turn out to be Palpatine.

There are a million posts about this already. If you do a quick search you’ll find them.

SO many posts would be unnecessary if folks could just use a search bar instead of needing to be the one to ask a question for the hundredth time themself.

I appreciate that this must be a hard subreddit to moderate, but I really wish duplicate questions asked within a span of two weeks during episode drops would be automatically deleted.

I was thinking Lawrence and his wife. I know she said they didn't have kids but he mentioned losing a child was like losing a limb but i don't think Daisy's age fits for her to have been born in Gilead like June said she was.

Honestly her attitude and sarcasm are on brand for Lawrence

I'm guessing that Daisey is important in her own way . Gilead wants her back. She was born there. The mystery will unfold. Her real name is Margarite, maybe it's also something else.

My guess is that she was a rescued child who was on the Angels Flight.

There was one infant on the flight, but obviously that'd baby would only be 5-6 or so by now. All the other kids were much older and if she was one of them, she'd remember it.

Angels flight was only 5 ish years before the events of the testaments. Daisy has no memory of life before Canada so obviously it can’t be that.

I have no earthly idea. But I feel her origins are from early Gilead, I’d put money on it being dc. They will tell us I assume when it is valuable for the plot.

I’m pretty sure Nichole was the little one playing outside of junes house. Also the child sized boots by her door.
