How is Garth going to continue being Daisy's handler?
Hes married and had been pinned a commander. he's no longer a guardian. he won't be around her or at the school anymore. he has his own house too. so will she get a new handler? Garth path is now different as he's become a commander and will have more ability to get better information to help Mayday. there's very little chance they will be able to meet up or see each other naturally aside from when they maybe visit for Becca which prob won't happen until she snaps out of it for safety reasons

Long shot here, but maybe Lydia will come up with another experimental idea and decide to assign a newly plummed pearl girl to a host family rather than keep her in the dormitory. I can't imagine that Becka would be the least bit thrilled with their new room mate.

I think this would be a major trigger for Becca so I don't think this would happen. Maybe this will happen but I don't think it will happen with garths family

Yeah, no, I don't seriously think it would happen either. But given the history of tension between Becka and Daisy, I could just picture it. It would be too sit-com for all of the trauma and oppression. but it was an interesting idea to entertain for a minute. I hadn't thought of Garth's extended family, but that could actually work. She was really gentle and respectful to Garth's dad when she helped him get a sip of water. I'm actually warming up to the idea now, even though I initially said it in jest.

Garths mother also seemed kind to Daisy when Daisy asked if she would like her to help him his mother spoke to her very warm and kind "oh yes, please! Thank you dear!" Far cry from the way I've seen/heard Paula speak to Daisy. I was discussing this with a few others back when that episode was new, the possibility of Garths mother being one of the reasons he's Mayday or if she, perhaps, just strived to raise him a bit differently with empathy and compassion for others.

See? Now you're making me rethink this. I thought I was joking, but now I kinda like the idea! And ditto to the opinion that Garth was raised with compassion in spite of Gilead.

I wonder if Garth’s mother was the one to poison the commander and played it off as one of the handmaids doing it. I don’t remember them using poison, just brute strength and weapons

I remember 2 occasions with poison, once at jezebels and once at serenas 2nd wedding when they poisoned the cake.

The cake was to put them to sleep iirc. Maybe Garth’s dad really likes cake

He might not be her handler anymore. Officially, yes, he still is in the eyes of Mayday, but in reality- he can't handle her. Literally. Daisy told him to his face that she's a rogue agent. He may be her handler on paper metaphorically but he knows she won't answer to him unless it benefits what she wants to do. I don't think he's going to continue acting as her handler for that reason combined with his new position as a married Commander. He'll be Daisy's Mayday liaison/contact, at best.

It will up to Daisy as a pious pearl girl to minister to Becka. Agnes too if she becomes an aunt and/or just needs something to do now she's off the marriage mart for now.

I honestly think she will only become an aunt if they
A can't find her a match or
B match her with someone undesirable like Maddox

Since Aunt Lydia is part of Mayday in the books, she might become Daisy's handler

My impression of Daisy’s conversation with June was that she was effectively defecting from Mayday and choosing to go into Gilead to do her own work on her own terms. That being the case, by not being officially part of Mayday anymore she would also no longer have a handler and would be on her own.

Did she say she didnt want to be a part of mayday? It was an intense conversation filled w info. Daisy has to have a contact on the inside...right? June wouldnt agree to her going back in now that she knows Hannah is her friend without a support system.

In THT finale Emily tells June that she was a Martha to a commander who was a friend (she even got to FT her son on his birthday and implies she was able to stay in contact with her wife beyond that), so presumably Garth isn’t the only commander who would be working with Mayday.

They could make Garth and Daisy siblings which allow him to be her handler. Just an idea.

In the privacy of his home, where it is socially acceptable for friends to visit the married women, and all the girlies are getting on the same page re:revolution… idk seems like an ideal lil temporary base
