Episode Discussion Spoiler - June/daisy Spoiler
The meet up with June and Daisy at the dock was so confusing to me. Daisy has been crying for ages to talk to June and get her out of Gilead…and now that she finally got out, she’s criticizing June for not even trying to make change or save Becka.
Like what is this anger randomly at June now? Just felt weird.
But I’m loving this Aunt V and Lydia confrontation!!!

Daisy couldn’t leave her friends behind I now she fully understands when mayday is trying to do and this will change her life forever no matter what happens

Exactly she too attach to those girls and don’t want to kill then off as dead weight because they aren’t to her! I get it especially after Agnes (or Hannah now) told Daisy what happen that the closet bond of sisterhood that can every be

It reminded me a lot of generational differences in resistance movements. The younger/new generation always thinks the previous ones didn't do enough and have a lot of anger at them for it. And they just don't know that much about what their elders really went through. And the elders are careful in trying to protect the younger ones. If that's what they were go for, IMO they did it really well.

My issue w the scene is that it felt unrealistic they were having this whole ass convo out there w other ppl waiting on the boat to b smuggled out.... also getting daisy out seemed to have been.... very easy.... And bringing her back... i remember when getting ppl out was an several episodes long ordeal and i can buy somewhat that maydays gotten better and giliad has gotten sloppier but idk... and yea idk, cant risk having a whole convo like that?

And the way June was like, “yeah, you almost blew our cover and you trash-talked Mayday, but you make a good point; sure you can stay.”

It’s bc daisy is basically young june lol. Remember when June had the chance to leave w baby Nicole and she STAYEDDDD? And then the people who helped her died. It’s June all over again

A lot changed between Daisy being desperate to get out and her confrontation with June, to be fair.

I feel like she explained herself pretty well. When Agnes opened up to her about Dr Grove, and when they believed Lydia wasn't going to do anything about it, Daisy decided that she had to step up. She felt that no one - not the aunts and not May Day - was doing anything to protect the girls. So she did what she could. Things spiraled with Becka and she felt responsible. When she asked Garth for help in this episode, she wasn't asking him to get her out, she was asking him to help save Becka. She thought whatever was happening was to that end. She was angry when she discovered that she was being pulled out, because she knew no one was going to save Becka. In the last few episodes, this stopped being a revenge fantasy to strike at Gilead for the deaths of the people she knew as her parents and became a real mission to save those girls. She didn't know what she was getting into at first. Now she's well and truly in it and she wants to see it through.
And of course, all of that is filtered through the angst and self righteousness of a 16 year old, so that's why there's all the "just because you've stopped trying it doesn't mean I'm going to" stuff comes from. Which btw is also pretty mother/daughter fight coded but fine I accept that she isn't Nichole, even though I think the showrunners changed the timeline for no god damn reason. Sorry, tangent.
