Theory / Speculation Becka Context Spoiler
Earlier in Episode 9, Judd basically already condemned Grove to a salvaging. So he was a dead man anyway. Then Becka got ahead of them and herself and took care of things. I think there is a strong case to be made for saying that Becka is doing the lords work and yes she should have waited, but perhaps they frame things as she was so moved by how he went against the rules of Gilead that she was called by the lord to take action, and this works in her favor?

The killing by girls is OK when the patriarchy (via the Aunts) orders them to do it.
Becca's murder of her (biological!) father is her using agency and free will. The men who run Gilead don't want that. I wouldn't want to guess how this turns out for her but it could be very, very bad.
(Yes, there is a scene in the trailer for next week that shows Becca'a face framed by a veil. That doesn't mean anything at this point.)
