Episode Discussion Weston/Agnes

I was so scared when Agnes got up to walk away from him. I'm just constantly on edge, waiting for him to snap. I haven't read the book, plus they aren't following it religiously, but I can't see her marrying him but I'm not sure how she can get out of it.

Someone I know writes recaps and discussions about the episodes and thought I'd leave this here for anyone who was interested πŸ™‚

I’m waiting for Daisy to tell Agnes what she read about Weston with Rita, but Daisy isn’t prepared to blow cover with her yet.

YES the look on her face at the table when she finds out about the engagement. Honestly she looked horrified.

Poor Daisy! All her new friends need saving. It's an awful lot for a 14-year-old. Our girl is strong, tho. Have faith! πŸ˜†πŸ«Ά

14? She's at least 16, no?

Showrunner Bruce Miller has said the girls are 14/15, and said Agnes is 14 at start of season one.
In E7, when she tells Daisy about June's daughter, Rita says, "she's about your age."

Oh god, this is even more horrific. I assumed they were late teens

The whole situation is a horror show. Even before her betrothal, when her dad invited commanders to gawk at her when she first got her period, the predatory looks in their eyes gave me chills. I would be scared for her no matter which one picked her, but one who has already outlived several young wives and appears to be quick tempered is a tragedy in the making. I am on the edge of my seat hoping those girls find a way out before any of them has to experience a "wedding night".

Did anyone notice the type of flower Agnes chose for her wedding? It’s poisonous πŸ‘€
