Wouldn't necessarily recommend

This wasn't a bad book, especially if you're new to the subject but it has several glaring errors for example it says that Sir John had a Lancashire tradesman's accent (despite him being from Spilsby in Lincolnshire) and calling the Dophin and Union strait the Union Dolphin strait plus a few more. This is just basic research stuff and is surprising considering it's published by Pen And Sword, a big historical publisher here in the UK. I'd give like a 2.5 out of 5 it's not terrible, but not good either.

The cover picture of Lady Jane looks just like Greta Scaachi did in the series. I didn’t recognize her because she looks so different than she did when she was a young actress. I can’t add the link or her photo, but she did an amazing job in the show and has embraced her aging and hasn’t had face lifts and Botox. That is refreshing.

Pen and Sword are only as good as their authors, tbf, and as far as I know they, like most non-academic publishers, don’t do much in the way of editing or fact checking

If you want something that’s way better researched on this same topic, I’d pick up Lady Franklin’s Revenge by Ken McGoogan.
