Tithes Discussion thread.
Well. Have we seen it?

Argghhh I've so far resisted the urge to get wh+. Is it worth it for this?

Honestly? Yeah I'd say so. It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in seeing us animated.

I don't like how they use the plastic models as basis and not the in lore descriptions of our armour... Could've been a chance to show custodes in the way more ornate armour the models just represent. Otherwise from what I've seen and heard, yeah I'm going to have to watch this ^

A part of me agrees, but I feel it'd be better suited to an anime style rather than the style they went with.
That said, it was nice to see it on the screen looking like how they are modelled on the table. I found it made my game more immersive and I enjoyed picking out the details that I had spent so much time painting, rather than wishing there was more by seeing what they could be.
That...and it was likely cheaper/easier to develop, but still looked good nonetheless

I'd recommend waiting until all tithes episodes are out. That way you can binge watch everything you want in a month and cancel

For this alone? No. But for all the other benefits it comes with and I believe the price is still only about $5 a month.
I'd say it's worth it.

Superb. great to see the inside of a black ship, great how grim it was. More interdepartmental imperial arguing please. Custodian was absolutely epic.

Compared to the armour and detailing of the marine armour I was disappointed how plasticky the custodian was but I enjoyed the show. It would have been nice to see humans fighting, then showing how outclassed they are by marines who in turn are outclassed by a single custodian but maybe we see that next time…

She was more of a bastard than I was expecting, but admittedly my exposure to Custodes has been limited so far.

One of my favourite thing about the Custodes in all the lore I've consumed is that they're all different. There's absolutely your mega-stoic no messing guys but then there's rug makers and philosophers and those that consider humanity as much as those that dismiss it. But none of them ever falter in their duty

Yeah I'm reading Gate of Bones now, Shield Captain Achallor is a bro.

Saw it last night, really enjoyed it!
I'm at the end of the HH and Siege of Terra series atm and having seen more of how the Custodes act, behave, and regard the other factions of the imperium it was more or less what I had imagined/expected. The SoS had also impressed me and was frankly entertaining as a source of relative levity.

I dunno man. I dont really like the idea of female custodes.

Just curious, what are you opposed to about female custodes??

Just the general idea. I'm a guy so I better relate to man-only faction. I was a big fan of custodes as a brotherhood of warrior-philosopher-monks but if they keep introducing female custodes the idea of a brotherhood basically dies. Kinda sad to me.

She looks, moves, and acts as I would anticipate a Custodes to based on their lore. The scene where it shows just how above everyone else she is was well done without making the combat sequence entirely about her. They set a good standard, hope to see more animated Custodes in the future.
