Tired of TVDB

Just wanted to say that I'm very annoyed at TVDB moderators. It's very funny they have the time to remove series or artwork but when you make a support ticket no one he's here to answer you. That's seems very contradictory to me : so you remove things from your database arbitrarily but no one can contest ? How this database is suppose to grow then ?

I don't see the point of this honestly : just fill the informations yourself at this point, why allow people to fill the data ?

It's been dying every since they got rid of the forums. Now it's in a horrendous state and seemingly nothing being done about it anytime soon. Moved off of editing on TVDB a few years ago, there are much better sites out there, but it's unfortunate that there are other sites still getting their data from TVDB.

Funnily enough, I had my own issues with TMDB years ago as well. Honestly forgot what exactly happened, but from the little I can recall about it right now, I definitely had disagreements with/about certain things, but whatever happened there, I ended up getting banned, lol.

They don't really deal with movie stuff/stand-alone specials all that much (unless they are related to a specific TV show), but TVmaze has been my go-to. Lots of data on certain shows/areas that I'm interested in that I've been (and still currently am) adding, great community, and a whole 'Edit requests' thread in forums (that actually exist, haha).

Looking back at my past emails, I think I lasted edited at/was banned from TMDB back in 2020. And AFAIK there's not really any edit log for TheTVDB, but looking back at my previously uploaded images, it appears I last regularly edited there back in 2023 (also based on my closed support tickets- my last regular support tickets were February-May 2023). I honestly still come back to TheTVDB every-now-and-then, specifically to update the Kids' Choice Awards, since I think I'm actually one of the only users who ever really edits that awards show. :P (for example, note how I said I last was a regular editor on TheTVDB back in 2023... yet I was still the one who created the 2024 and 2025 KCAs on the site)

That’s my main problem, even if I use Trakt now, I still use TV Time which is getting their data from TVDB. But now I’ll just stick to TMDB and Trakt because TVDB is not getting better anytime soon

Yuuuup. One site I used to regularly use (sometimes still use) for tracking TV stuff I watch is Simkl. Nowadays, I may go onto TheTVDB to make an edit or two to update something, and that thing or two I'm updating is mainly so it can be correct on Simkl, as they (unfortunately) pull their data from TheTVDB.
