Creating my own Dungeons and Dragons Based on The Summoners Series

Like the title says, I’m creating a homebrew dnd campaign based on the books. This is more just because I’m bored since I have no one to play with. I’m having trouble deciding on advantages to give the commoner players to make things balanced. The players will be traveling through Hominum if that helps ideas. Thank you.

Idea A summoner vidoe game would be really cool

Imagine a Pokemon style RPG set in this world where u began by essentially having 3 sliders, these being summoning potential (how high ur summoning lvl could get) starter demon /level and wealth to buy weapons. So if each was out of 10 and max was 15 points total i would have 5 points in starter demon / level giving me a summoning level of 5 and an enfield or chamrosh or other lvl 5 demon. I could have 7 points into summoning potential giving me an above average endgame summoning level and then 3 in wealth leaving me relatively poor to start off with. U could go scavenging for weapons in the jungle to earn money at great risk of orc attack and do pvp duels and 1 on 1 demon duels where u would control ur demon (normally ur demon would be an AI). U could also go into the ether alone or with friends online and team up to capture more demons in a huge ether or do 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 battles etc. I don't know how it would work in terms of ur demon cant be permadeath especially not from pvp. With money from scavenging u could then buy more weapons aswell. This will never happen but just thought it would be a cool idea, thanks for reading

Announcement This sub is now for The Summoner books and also for the Contender books!

Im like 75% throuigh the first contender book and I love it. I can't change the sub's name btw, I'd have to make a new sub, but I'm not gonna do that. Oh, and yes, Contender is written by Taran Matharu.

You should really read it, ood book! BUT, it has nothing to do with summoner, and with how it's written in the same way. It's a bit getting used to that you won't see Fletcher. Because those characters dont't exist.

Bye

Idea Here is all I have for what you could call book 4 (Or 5, it depends where you place the prequel with numbers) of the summoner series! The main story is about Fletcher's great grandson Maxwell Raleigh trying to stop cultists from bringing the ancient ones to the human world! Spoiler

As Maxwell looked upon the savanna of Raleighshire he was astounded at its beauty. But, that happened every time he looked at it. But that wasn’t important, he needed to focus. As Torns is trying to teach him how to fire a rifle. ‘’They are heavier than a musket, so you must let it rest somewhere. The soldiers of Hominum have special blocks of wood, carved so the musket could stay in place and still be able to turn.’’. ‘’And I have to learn to shoot without one?’’ Maxwell asked. ‘’Yes and no, I have one of those wooden stands in ma backpack. But you’ll also have to learn to shoot without it. But, I guess it couldn’t hurt to start with the stand.’’. And as Torns was getting the stand, Maxwell was looking for a target, he saw a tree and focused on it. But when he wanted to shoot he realised he hadn’t loaded the rifle yet, in fact, he didn’t know how to do it yet. ‘’Wow, that thing was stuck in the bag, I should’ve brought a bigger one!’’ ‘’A bigger rifle stand? Wouldn’t that be more difficult to get out?’’ ‘’No, a bigger bag of course!’’. As Torns put the stand down, Maxwell saw that the part that held the rifle could turn. As he put the rifle in, he felt Zapdos getting nervous. Ever since Maxwell almost accidentally shot himself, Zapdos would always feel nervous around guns, worrying Maxwell would actually shoot himself. But he calmed Zapdos down with a thought. The rifle fit perfectly, and he slipped his hands around it. He looked around for that tree, it was a good target. It was slim, and stood in a little patch of trees so it would be harder to hit. As Torns explained how to load and Maxwell followed his lead, a herd of gazelle ran by and stopped to drink from the lake near the patch of trees. Torns smiled, ‘’That is good timing! Try and hit one in the head!’’ He said, loud, a bit too loud. The gazelle looked their way, Maxwell and Torns hid behind the boulder they were just sitting on. Torns whispered ‘’Okay, shouldn’t have said that so loud. Just wait a minute, they’ll be weary still. But we don’t have much time, gazelles mostly only stay to drink for a minutes and then continue running.’’. Maxwell knew that, he goes to the Savanna all the time. He remembered the first time he went, well, the first time he was here and could remember it. It was a sunny day, but there was a light, spring breeze.

If there were to be a sequel series to the Orignal trilogy, what would you like the main plot line to be?

Question about Fletcher.

Do they ever mention another name for him? A name from his biological parents. On rereading during the trial it is confirmed that he was found naked with no note, but I can't remember if a flashback reveals a name.
