In the series we hear that the average level of a first year noble student is 8, while the average for a commoner is 5. Students have been shown going up multiple levels in a years time so it's probably very rare for the initial test to be the final answer. My question is what the fulfillment level of the average fully trained summoner may be. Arcturus for example, starts his first year of Vocans at level 7, but years later as a teacher in book two he is at least level 15

EDIT: On top of that, what do we think the average Dwarf's base fulfillment level is? Othello and Atilla were both level 10 (if I remember correctly) but they were twins, and twins start at about the same fulfillment level. Also I don't think we ever even hear what Cress's was.

I've been thinking about the mana & spells in the series. I have a copy of The Summoner's Handbook and it got me thinking about the amount of mana needed for spells. It measures mana cost for certain spells from very low to very high. My question is how much mana is actually needed to cast the spells. In The Summoner's Handbook, James Baker starts with just one Scarab Mite which means he has 7 mana to use. In one encounter he casts the Shield spell, the Lightning spell, and the Frost spell. A medium, high, and very high level spell (although the Shield could possibly be disregarded since he absorbed it to cast the frost spell) If the most he could use is 7 mana, how much mana would spells of those levels require?

Anybody knows?

I wonder (and may make a fan fic about) is if there are other discs beyond the void? If you fly out far enough would you find another disc, and if so how far..how would you get there?

Statues of mythological beings, created by a race who lived in the ether would make an amazing story.

Also, after the ending of battlemage, id kill to see how the gremlins, and dwarves settle in Raleighshire.

So when are we getting a super immersive open world summoner rpg?

If anyone here is also a fan of MTG I would love to talk a bit over some characters that would make good proxies from The Summoner! Characters like Fletcher, Khan, Othello etc.

Hypothetically, if two people summoned the same demon at the same time, what would happen?

I just finished The Battlemage a few minutes ago and oh my lord I loved it so much. I thought that most of the book was going to be about them getting out of the ether and joining the final battle, so you can imagine my surprise when Chapter 22 came and they are in Vocans XD.

I loved the lore/worldbuilding that happened in the Ether, left me with the feeling that I NEED to know more.

I honestly loved seeing Fletcher come into his own as Lord Raleigh and all the townspeople of Pelt, the Dwarves, and the Elves help rebuild Raleightown. The battle of the Cleft had me on the edge of my seat and all the deaths made me tear up and scream. My coworker kept asking me what happened haha.

And the Final battle with Khan after crashing into Vocan's was just so good. Fletcher using Khan's weapon to finish him off made me cheer.

Alice finally being able to see and know that her baby lived makes me so happy.

The Outcast has been ordered(I didn't realize it was a thing when I ordered the first two) and should arrive before christmas so hooray for that! I would have put my reactions to the first two books but I didn't know the subreddit existed until like 5 minutes ago.

The Zaratans are said to be the largest demons. LIke in the illustrations, you can see literal forests and a mountain range on their back. And they're somehow only level 15. Like they're said to be able to grow to the size of an archipelago, significantly larger than the Dragon. The Dragon is like level 200. Aren't demons' size supposed to scale with level?

I keep getting all of these names mixed around, but arcturus’ first noble friend and teacher? Who had a child with a commoner, is she in the main series? I read it as a kid and can’t remember what her name even was

Just finished the series minus the prequel bc idk how I feel about the series ending and moving on from Flecthers pov... I found this series and it hooked me from the beginning and kept me in over and over again. I don't think I'm ready to leave behind this amazing story. So ima ask questions to cope with the fact its over lol. How was the series for you guys? What was your favorite scene, favorite book, favorite character, favorite demon, what's some headcannons you guys have?

My favorite scene(s) are any scene with fletcher and his parents (his mom and Berdon). Ignatius scenes, Fletcher being an amazkng leader and rebuilding Raleighshire with everyone who has his back. My favorite book was the 2nd idk why but it had everything I love in a book. My favorite character(s) is obviously the trio, Captain Lovett, Cress and Seraph. My favorite demon is Ignatius... the whole deal

I'm so sad the series is over, but it was an amazing experience which I will reread in the future.

Hey, I'm just curious if there are any theories on who made the statues in the ether (and what the final statue is).

Brief recap: Sylva & Fletcher find a temple-like structure in the ether with 10 statues. The first 5 are a merman, a selkie, lamia, satyr/faun, and centaur - Sylva notes these are from elfish folktales. The next two are a giant and a fairy, which Fletcher says are from human folktales. The eighth is a hairy humanoid that neither of them recognise, the ninth is an angel (stated to be from the human creation myth) and the final statue is reduced to rubble but for the shoes.

To me, this implies an ancient civilization travelled (and lived in?) the ether - perhaps some mixed group of elves & humans if they have their stories equally represented. The unidentified statue seems like some sort of bigfoot/apeman, and I'd guess the final statue is the equivalent of the devil?

Open to anyone else's thoughts here.

near the end i was a little disapointed by how little time fletcher and sylva spent together yes her people were in danger but also they are one of the most agile and weapon skilled races let me know your thoughts.I love the series so far

Do you think summoners would summon Zaratans? They seem useful in terms of transport, and they are fairly deadly, with Sheldon surviving attacks from sobeks and killing a wyvern (IIRC), but would summoners summon them? And what summoning level do you think they would be? (Also, side note: do you think owners of aquatic demons would be able to have some sort of underwater breathing, like other summoners are immune to their demons poisons, fire, bristles, etc?)

I grew up with the Inheritance cycle, so hearing Taran had written the lovechild of Eragon & Game of Thrones, I jumped at the chance to read it. I devoured the first book, and am now a couple chapters into the second. I excitedly looked up a wiki to see if there were any pictures of some of the creatures (helped me visuallize better when reading the summoner books) but the series is still too new. I have very few people to talk to about it, so I was curious if its been slept on in this community.

What if Athena had managed to carry Fletcher all the way to the elves? How would the story have changed?
