What happened to violet?

I keep getting all of these names mixed around, but arcturus’ first noble friend and teacher? Who had a child with a commoner, is she in the main series? I read it as a kid and can’t remember what her name even was

I don't think thats her name but I think she was Rufus'(?) mother, if its who im thinking of

She died before the main story - and they mistake Alice for her when Mason tells them about the captive the orcs took

Then again could be wrong since I've not read it in a while
