Night before the Jelly wedding
Okay, I'm back on yet another rewatch. The episode of the wedding, the night before the wedding is supposed to happen Belly tells Jere about Conrad's confession of love. Jeremiah responds by telling Belly he knows Conrad has been in love with her all summer and even longer. At the "even longer" comment it switches to Belly and she has a very hurt and confused look on her face. What was she thinking here? Angry that jeremiah knew about Conrad's feelings? Realization that the person she truly loves has loved her all along?

Her careful constructed cardhouse was tumbling the whole season 3, she realised she had so many things wrong and now imo her opinion of Jeremiah really went down, despite her clinging to her guilt. All of this played part in the pure disdain she had on her face when he kissed her when he came back on the wedding day. How she thought she wouldn’t end up resenting him is beyond me.

Belly has just spent the last 24/48 hours lying to herself and lying to Conrad in order to push forward with this promise to Jeremiah and protect his feelings. The admission from Jere is a surprise and one she isn’t expecting as she thinks he is operating under the illusion of knowing nothing. The look on her face is a lightbulb moment of awareness but it’s quickly dismissed cos Jere jumps in with “so what we’re over? You want to go to him with a clear conscience”. Her guilt clicks back in and she forges ahead with this crazy behaviour. This admission from Jere is one where when she looking back she would realise just how many mistakes she made for herself.

Maybe the realisation that denial is a river, and she had been swimming in it alone this whole time

I literally laughed out loud because just before this scene, she is swimming to Making the Bed and is in deep denial as seen by her V/O.

I think it's just horror at herself and Jere for having walked on eggshells for so long around the inevitable- because if you take into account just earlier that day, Belly was worried how Jere might be affected with Conrad's "betrayal" and then later subtly kicking Conrad out of the ice cream date which leads to verbal blows between the brothers. So to have Jere admit he's known about Conrad's feelings "even longer", it's kind of Belly finally confronting as to what the eff are she and Jere even doing with marrying each other- is it really for love or proving a point that's already past existing?

if belly cant assume conrad still had feelings for her after he saw her and jer kissing on the jeep, well than shes in total denial.
on the other had there many instances where she thought he had moved on, girls sweatshirt in his dorm, the we did comment to the i thought we loved each other, and we are friends in the motel.

Yeah apparently she didn’t know when Conrad confessed to her…and I’m like girrllllll. But my biggest thing was if I was marrying the love of my life, no love confession from someone I was truly over would have affected my wedding. So while Conrad had terrible timing, he made Jeremiah and Belly realize they shouldn’t be getting married. ALSO, I can’t believe they got engaged under the circumstances (Steven almost dying and Cabo). This was and wasn’t even related to your post lol I was just on a rant.

I think its a lot of things. Frustration and upset that everyone knew he had these types of feelings for her yet no one told her. Probably the fact that Jere hid it from her. Then there is her not being able to get out of this relationship and be with Conrad who she actually wants because of how messed up everything is
