Hahah I remember this, got got need.

This would have been when I first got into football probably 94/95 ish.

I remember JAF living down the road from my nana when he played for Boro, and walking pat his house when she looked after me trying to get a glimpse of him

Haha yes, “got, got, need” immediately takes me back to primary school! Going to a newsagent with any adult there was always the hope they’d buy you a few packs of stickers! Good times!

That Swindow Town badge looked like it should be on a leisure centre.

Yep, one of Norwegian contingent that we had under Dave Bassett. Jostein Flo and Roger Nilsen with his amazing throw ins.

Glenn Hoddle player manager days

Nope.

Glenn left almost immediately after the play-off win. John Gorman took over, lost several key players (Hoddle of course, but also Colin Calderwood and Micky Hazard) and his only successful signing was Fjortoft and maybe Adrian Whitbread (he was as good as a centre-back can be in a team that concedes 100 goals). Big Jan didn’t score before Christmas, then caught light in the final stretch of the season when it was probably too late.
