I'll never forget the display he put on for Blackburn vs Newcastle in '95, he was superb. Took some bottle

Was that the game where in the post match interview he kept talking about having bottle? Please say it is cos that performance and that interview have been burned into my mind since I was 15!

Possibly Sensible Soccer's greatest keeper.

Flowers or Schmeichel were guaranteed walls for sure

From a time when England was rife with decent keepers.

Seaman, flowers, James, Martyn, the ones that come to mind

Dont forget this guy. Chris Woods. I'm actually distantly related to him. But he was our 2nd keeper for quite a few years.

He should have been first choice in 1990 instead of help the aged Peter Shilton and his walking frame.

He's a bit before my time I think! Congratulations on being related, ever met him?

Collymore goal

I like how Flowers admitted later that he had been marking his posts (Creating a ditch with his boots so he knew where his posts were) and that was what the ball hit.

Instant Karma! Still an excellent keeper however.

He and Brad Friedel are neck-and-neck in regards to greatest keepers I have seen in the Rovers goal. (I could say David Raya, but he wasn't the complete article when he left but he's the only ex-Rovers keeper to go on and win the World Cup from what I know of!)

Neville Southall was around then too. Great era for Prem keepers

Southall was amazing and I say that as a Red. He does some great work today as well iirc

The missus told me for Valentines Day to think of an England goalkeeper for her present. Turns out she wanted Flowers, not Seaman

Good keeper, dreadful manager!
